That's an awesome story, Jeff, and definitely shows the counter-side to Gary's sad tale. For every unsympathetic thief out there, maybe there's a good samaritan - and I'd still like to think that our hobby has more of the latter than the former.
Dragon = General Industry news, DMing/player advice, campaign ideas, new spells, feats and prestiges, monster backgrounds, setting details, etc. etc.
Dungeon = Playable adventures for the DM, Drop-in encounters, BBEGs.
I was lucky enough to play some OD&D with the wonderful likes of Buttercup and Fusangite and the Expeditious Retreat folks.
