    D&D 5E (2014) Exploring Eberron: Now Available!

I kind of like the Mind Cleric. One minor change I would make is their 6th level Gestalt Anchor. I think a static +2 is a little bland, so I would house rule that it equals their proficiency bonus. That way it scales a little.

Mana, Shamans, and the Cultural Misappropriation behind Fantasy Terms

"One Who Knows" It's an old Manchurian word, I believe. And I didn't Google it, either. I knew quite a few practicing druids and Wiccans in my youth :P

Mana, Shamans, and the Cultural Misappropriation behind Fantasy Terms

For accusing others of doing the exact same thing you were doing. If you don't like that being pointed out, perhaps you should stop the intellectual dishonesty. Refrain from strawmen. I asked if you were engaging in hyperbole; I did not claim you were...there is a huge difference. And when I...

Mana, Shamans, and the Cultural Misappropriation behind Fantasy Terms

I didn't purport to be knowledgeable; I simply asked for evidence. I thanked @Doug McCrae when he presented that evidence. Maybe you should refrain from accusing others of something when you are going to deliberately misinterpret their comment. Since you brought it up; what exactly would those...

Mana, Shamans, and the Cultural Misappropriation behind Fantasy Terms

If only people realized that Shaman wasn't started in 4e...it was also in previous editions.

Mana, Shamans, and the Cultural Misappropriation behind Fantasy Terms

Well, if you are going to accuse someone of doing the exact same thing you are doing, then be prepared to have it pointed out. And since you're an expert at it, I was pointing it out. See how that works?

Mana, Shamans, and the Cultural Misappropriation behind Fantasy Terms

Where, specifically, does it actually say this? Shaman, as far as I recall from 2nd edition on, is sort of like a spirit druid. In fact, 2nd edition had a supplement devoted specifically to that. Is it possible that you are using hyperbole here? You mean like you're doing?

Mana, Shamans, and the Cultural Misappropriation behind Fantasy Terms

And honestly, "Shaman" is more preferable to "Witch Doctor," a term that is often and erroneously equated with it. "Witch Doctor" does, indeed, have negative cultural connotations.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC's Jeremy Crawford on D&D Races Going Forward

While I see what you're saying, it's more of a way to allow my PC's to think about their actions and create interesting role playing scenarios. Maybe they rescue the Kobold children? Or take a sidekick? It's just add interesting tension and can allow for interesting solutions.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC's Jeremy Crawford on D&D Races Going Forward

I've always played my D&D with the knowledge that there are no races that are inherently evil and that goblinoids, orcs, drow, etc. were all products of their environment (aka nature vs. nurture). It makes an interesting moral conundrum for good aligned player characters going in and...

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC's Jeremy Crawford on D&D Races Going Forward

But technically, aren't Orcs, Goblins, Drow, etc. different species? Or would they be subspecies of humans?

    IN REMEMBRANCE--2020 AD

You know, I'm trying to stay positive during this strange time, but seeing all of these people (famous and otherwise) passing away due to COVID-19 is really depressing.

    Star Trek Picard SPOILERS thread

Yeah, I predicted it would happen several posts ago...saw it coming from a mile away. Really would have been interesting if the Mecha-Cthulhu would have been allowed to show up.
