    D&D 5E (2014) Warlocks seem pointless

You can build the best (AFAIK) cantrip user in the game. Even without spells, eldritch blast with the two applicable invocations (Chr to damage and 10' push) rocks. At and level 5 it really starts to be stellar (assuming the push and the +CHR damage stack on the second blast to the same...

    D&D 5E (2014) Those poor farmers!

Humm, never played Pendragon but would love to develop some of this (mostly for my own sake). Would you mind pointing out which supplements to look for? Thanks!

    D&D 5E (2014) Monster manual art.

Anyone know who drew the Pixie in the monster manual? I'd love to get a print...

D&D 5E (2014) What would you like to see in a "revised edition" of 5E?

Wow, I really can't understand how you could have missed his points. Basic theme: his group enjoys system mastery. They have found that there are a limited set of clearly optimal options that make system mastery trivial. This is a problem for them. I think that's pretty reasonable. I...

    D&D 5E (2014) Countering Dispel Magic

I believe that's right, though an abjurer can add his prof. bonus if I recall correctly. Which seems reasonable really.

    D&D 5E (2014) Multi-class power-up examples?

Hi folks, As I'm sure you've seen, there is a pretty long thread about allowing or not allowing multi-class characters. What appears to be a built-in assumption is that multi-class characters allows one to get more "optimized" or more powerful characters. I consider myself a pretty good...

    D&D 5E (2014) Flaws

I like the idea a lot. I'm not hugely fond of your implementations, but some things (like being at disadvantage in melee) is really cool for certain builds. The -1 to 3 stats as a minor thing is probably giving it too little.

    D&D 5E (2014) Why should I allow Multiclassing ?

OK, I really can't find a case in 5e where multiclassing really is a power up. The stat-bonus being tied to each class rather than total level is a real downer. As is the need to get multiple attacks for warriors. I've only seen one person play a multi-class character in Adventurer Leagues...

    Outlaws of the Iron Route

4 out of 5 rating for Outlaws of the Iron Route Great adventure run by a great DM (played at U-Con with one of the creators). My only gripe is that the overall story doesn't jive with the rewards. Don't mind average rewards. Do mind it when the rewards don't make sense in context. Can't...

    Yes, yes you can.

D&D 5E (2014) Warlock, Pact of the Blade, Melee

I play a barbarian 1/warlock X build. Gives medium armor prof. and rage. Plus an AC boost when without armor. Human with polearm feat. With pact of blade is a solid melee combatant, has good spells (fireball, hex, armor or Ag????) and is a solid ranged combatant (E. Blast). AC isn't great...

    D&D 5E (2014) Bounded accurancy and skills

I rather like bounded accuracy when it comes to combat. But I'm finding I don't like it with skills. At 1st level a fighter with a 16 strength and training in athletics will only "out muscle" a halfling with an 8 strength and no training about 75% of the time. Same thing with any other skill...

Forgot about one. Asked when a FAQ is coming out and basic answer was "it's being worked on".

D&D 5E (2014) Played game run by Rodney Thompson this weekend

Hi all, Played a game run by Rodney Thompson this weekend at U-con. Preview of adventurer's league adventure that's not out yet, so can't say much about it other than it was fun and he ran it well. Especially given the variety of gaming styles/people that were represented. Got a chance to ask...

    D&D 5E (2014) Likes and Dislikes?

Like: nearly everything, but I'll pick the warlock. Dislike: It feels they didn't really pay attention to low-level play (1-3)--For example the rangergets _nothing_ combat related at 1st level; while a circle of the moon druid is overwhelming at 2nd level.

D&D 5E (2014) Kung Fu Panda: How do wildshape and monk class abilities interact?

Thanks all. I think we all reached more-or-less the conclusions I was expecting. It's just fun to think about. And a level dip into monk might be cool for a druid who rarely casts spells but instead is mostly a warrior.

I'd like to see many of the old 1e modules reprinted for 5e.

D&D 5E (2014) Kung Fu Panda: How do wildshape and monk class abilities interact?

I think this raises an interesting question. I'd generally allow class features like Rage, Reckless attack, danger sense, etc. to work just fine in wildshape. The rule is "You retain the benefit of any features from your class, race or other source and can use them if the new form if...

D&D 5E (2014) Kung Fu Panda: How do wildshape and monk class abilities interact?

OK, this is probably a RAW, RAI, "how would you rule it" set of questions. But... How does a monk's unarmed defense work with wildshape? For that matter a barbarian's unarmed defense? How would martial arts--in particular the bonus attack--work in wildshape? ----- For the first I'm...
