I believe by RAW that you can't ready an action outside of combat. Seeing as combat doesn't start til you roll initiative, then your ruling was correct and what I would've done if I were in your situation. Cheers, E

From the SRD about Whirling Frenzy Does this mean that the Barb doesn't have to take a full attack action to get this bonus attack? Say a 5th level Dwarf Barb, can move 30' and then attack twice? Sounds like awesomesauce to me!! Cheers, E

Oh one other thing that I have found while DMing a group with 6 players, sometimes its best to add more lower level creatures to challenge them rather than increase the power of the already existing creatures. I find that my 6 PCs can just murder single large creatures that are quite a bit more...

There are some really good xp/challenge calculators out there in excel format that do a really nice job of estimating challenges relative to the party. If the intellegent magic items are highly above norm then I would give each character +1 ECL. Don't add anymore ECL due to large party size...

Loving the revisions, if I were to build one I would definately go the 16 Dex route with medium armor and get Mithril Fullplate eventually when money allowed :) Now if you all had to pick a race, what would it be? Dwarf? Cheers, E

I just finished introducing my new NPC a Gestalt Voidmind Shifter Monk/Druid with the shifter druid racial substitution levels. Needless to say fully buffed he had a Str and Dex of around 22-24 and was rolling 2d10 +Str for unarmed damage, with an AC around 44 was hard for the party of 6 lvl...

Both are correct, the only time you have a chance of hitting your ally in a grapple is if you are using a ranged attack (bows, xbow, rays, etc.) Cheers, E

Gloves of the Starry Sky out of MIC allow you to cast magic missle 3/day as well as emit a Light spell that can be turned on or off. Dont have the book with me for the cost, think its 2000gp. Cheers, E
