    D&D 4E 4e Playtest Characters

Interesting theory, to say the least. We'll have to play around with the idea a bit. -TRRW

    D&D 4E 4e Playtest Characters

Just hadn't listed them yet. I'll put them in once I get the playtest information consolidated. -TRRW

    D&D 4E 4e Playtest Characters

Corrected the Dragonborn entry, because I realized that wielding a Greataxe and Shield was kinda silly and impractical. -TRRW

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

Monster Manual (v3.5), page 93-95 Book of Exalted Deeds, page 168-171 Manual of the Planes, page 162 That's several referrences just in the last edition. Must not have read anything outside the core... oh wait, they're right there in the core books too. Just because you haven't heard of...

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

Who said anything about prostitieflings being submissive? I'm pretty sure they fit the dominant role a lot better, as such, they'll most likely be in a less "on their backs" kind of position. This post was originally much more detailed and lengthy, but I figured that Eric's Grandma wouldn't be...

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

Favored children of Bahamut != evil hipsters. Is there a typological symbol for "is the antithesis of"? If so, replace the "is not equal to" sign in the previous statement with it. -TRRW

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

What if the flavor came first, though? I picked up the idea of Rituals boosting a race's race-ness from Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved. I liked the idea that the various races had developed rituals to unlock power from their ancestors, so I worked up a series of feats based around that concept...

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

Whereas I see it as a ritual unlocking latent powers of the blood. The Dragonborn in question (the one growing wings) has undergone the potent Ritual of Zuma Kalis (or X'uma Kaa'liis, if you like unnecessary vowels and apostrophes and Xs) in order to awaken the dormant parts of his ancient...

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

In that blank goes "glowing lazer eyes". My original answer was "pretentiousness and righteous indignation", but I figured you were looking for a positive. -TRRW

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

Hey, now, no making fun of my Doctor Who inspired fashion choices. Why is it so bad for PCs to have wings and a breath weapon (probably after level 10), when the Wizard can cast Fly and Lightning Bolt by level 5? Maybe it's just me, but I don't see D&D through Fantasy lenses. I see Fantasy...

    D&D Resolutions

    On speciality priests ?

Personally, I see the new multiclassing approach to be the best way to do specialty priests. Want a more militant Cleric? Take the Fighter Training feat. Want a Cleric of the god of Magic? Take the Wizard training feat. Want a Cleric with a slightly darker bent? Warlock Training. Now, I...

    D&D 4E 4e Playtest Characters

More slightly upsetting mathematical errors fixed. In other news, the Playtest is set for this Tuesday, so we'll see how it goes. I'll make sure to keep everyone posted. (edit: Also, I cross posted this at the WotC boards the same time I posted the original here. 50+ replies on E.N. World...

    D&D 4E 4e previews due in December

To be fair, that December and Beyond article that announced those articles is probably three months old. They've probably changed the release schedule a bit since then. -TRRW

    D&D 4E 4e Playtest Characters

That'll come later, in the Extrapolated Classes write ups I'm hoping to have done by mid-January. Out of the above classes, only the Fighter and Paladin have +1 Attack Bonus from class, so it should be rather easy to figure out which stat is being used for which attack (For example, the rogue's...

Paladin: 2 skills Rogue: 6 skills Warlock: 2 skills Cleric: 2 skills Fighter: 2 skills Bonus skills for Int and being Human. The trained skill numbers are based on the old attribute bonuses, so I'll have to go through and correct those as well. -TRRW
