    GENCON 2008 - Who's Going?

I'll be there. I'll be there a whole lot. 10 people crammed into one hotel room in the Mariott. Woo! -TRRW

    Magical Fruit Salad!

On the other hand, it seems to be a redescribed Rod of Seven Parts. Maybe the McGuffinses were just renamed. Either that, or powerful Aussie magic is at work here. Evil Aussie magic. -TRRW

    D&D 4E Warforged might make 4E

If one firefusks the image, you get some other interesting ones in a series. Potentially the mini they didn't want you to see... That's right, the thing they didn't want you to see: a Human Fighter (and another Human Fighter). -TRRW

Flavorful Names That Make No Difference

If you want to play a dexy, tumbly fighter; you're already trying to play a half-rogue. Admiting it is the first step towards recovery. Nothing says you have to refer to yourself as a rogue, it's just a smattering of abilities you're picking up. Same thing with taking a level or two of Cleric...

    Wis & Secondary Stats

Just seemed like the logical progression from both Star Wars SAGA and the basic core of D&D. Paladins have had extra smites based on Charisma for about 8 years now, and Star Wars SAGA introduced the whole "add 1+Wis Mod powers to your power suite" idea. I like it, and hope to be proven right...

    Wis & Secondary Stats

I think that all the mental attributes will be used for all classes. Intelligence: Bonus skill points. Wisdom: Powers/Combat Abilities known. Charisma: Extra uses of Powers/Combat Abilities. So, basically, if you want to play a character without any special powers, use all your mental stats as...

Write a letter to your favorite game. . .

Dear D&D, Thank you for letting all those young party guys talk you in to getting plastic surgery (as well as vocabulary and public speaking classes). You were ugly and retarded back in the day. I mean, I always loved you, but now I'm no longer embarrassed to flaunt you in public. Love...

    Comprehensive Lava rules?

This product stole my girlfriend, jack'd my pick-up truck, and ran over my dog. Damn you, Fire and Brimstone! -TRRW

    How do you. . .

Draw the rails on the battlemat. Then, have the PCs move their minis along inside the 5' squares. Require balance checks for moving, with scaling DC based on how far they move. Everything else is just dramatic scene dressing. -TRRW

    Star Wars: Dawn of Defiance

Do we have an actual, concrete release date for the first adventure in this series? Pretty, pretty please? All I've heard for the last 4 months is "October or November". We've run out of one of those, and the other is fast approaching. The Star Wars official website is of little help, sadly...

Who Wants Some Science Fiction/Space Adventure Modules?

You aren't secretly Richard Pett, are you? Because if you are, I want nothing to do with your silly Space adventure. If you are, however, actually Nicholas Logue; I shall make all manner of pact with unnameable devil to gain access. -TRRW

    Point of Light

What's to say there can't be political intrigue and city adventuring in a Points of Light setting? There were large cities (Rome, Paris, London) in the early middle ages that had lots of political maneuvering, yet were only 10 miles from No Man's Land (tm). -TRRW

    Where are these games?

At last word from MWP, the Supernatural RPG quickstart thing should be out by January (if I'm remembering correctly from GenCon) with the full book in April? Again, could be faulty memory. Haven't heard about that other one. -TRRW

    Why Buy?

In before the lock? Also, I love that this phrase from Something Awful has wormed its way out onto the regular internet. Also also, I don't agree with most of the points the OP was making. Sorry. Apparently you just aren't WotC's target demographic. I, however, am. -TRRW
