Please tell me how I am reading this wrong.

I hope this is sarcasm, my friend. If not, welcome out from under the rock. -TRRW

    D&D 4E Help me plan a pseudo-4e one-shot (cross-posted)

I've been doing some extrapolations based on current classes and whatnot, and came up with a bunch of stuff that is dubiously balanced, but a good preview. Mostly modeled after Star Wars Saga Edition, with some Book of 9 Swords and Player's Handbook 2 thrown in. ---------- 8 Classes: Fighter...

D&D 4E 4E Player's Handbook just put on some weight!!!!

In order for there to be an illustration of that, it would have to have happened at least once. In at least one possible timeline. In at least one possible multiverse. They haven't been awesome yet; hoping for them to be awesome in 4th edition is a bit silly. -TRRW fakeedit: Though I do...

D&D 4E Is 4E the designers homebrew coming to my gaming table?

Well, as a stalwart opponent of the Great Wheel cosmology, I say that I like the changes being made to the default fluff. Remember, this isn't Greyhawk. That said, I think a lot of this Fluff is going to end up on DDI, not in the core books themselves. Maybe it will, who knows? -TRRW

D&D 3.x Fond Memories of ENWorld and the 3E Launch

Here. Now, how about instead of asking until we're all blue in the face, you wait it out. Also, what you *want* is the Druid as a class in the PHB1. What you'll *get* is the Druid as a Cleric talent tree in the PHB1. -TRRW

D&D 3.x Fond Memories of ENWorld and the 3E Launch

I was over on the old RPGHost boards when 3e came rolling around. I didn't stumble upon EN World until around 2002 or so. I'm not nearly as baselessly scared as I was for the 2e/3e switch. It'll be a fun ride. Druid is a talent tree for clerics. Move along. -TRRW

D&D 4E How many gamers even know there will be a 4e?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: It absolutely boggles my mind that there are gamers in this day and age that *don't* have regular internet access. Seriously, I've not met one in the past 5 or so years. I think the last gamer I knew that didn't have internet access got it in 2002...

(Rant) I don't like variable conditional modifiers

You think *that's* crazy? My girlfriend's character has an AC of 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 or 28 depending on Skirmish, Shield, and Dodge circumstances. We actually have a combat matrix set up. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to something being done about all this conditionalness. -TRRW

D&D 4E New in 4E: EN World to be renamed "Eeee Ennn World"

I, for one, welcome our new Eeee Ennn World overlords. Also, in before the lock. -TRRW fakeedit: Also, they wouldn't have done this except to appease the anime munchkin power gamer vidiot crowd.

MERGED: How do you say the site name? / What's with Eeee Ennn World?

EE-EN World, chiming in. Though, about 1/3 my gaming group pronounces is N World. -TRRW

What is your top question/concern about 4th edition?

Lanefan and I's D&D tastes are about as different as they come; yet we get along just fine. Why can't both sides of every argument be this amicable? D&D campaigns like the one quoted above are what I like to call Soap Opera campaigns; there's a basic over arching plotline, but it keeps going...

What is your top question/concern about 4th edition?

Well, I guess I'm number 6. My biggest concern is that they might try to cater to what I like to call "My grand-parent's D&D"*: hobbity halflings, ultra lethal combat, taking 6+ real life years to get to 20th level (single campaigns lasting this long, as well), and a whole lot of 'you've done...

WotC Desert of Desolation Preview #3 is up

Ya know, I always thought that was a an Uppercase I, not a lowercase L. Bar-Igura. *shrug* Minis look decent, and I now wish these'd come out like a month ago so I could've used them with Savage tide. I hate Drow and all things Drowish, so the Drider is useless to me. -TRRW

Argghh. Avast, swabbies. Where be the rest of me Squid Billies?

Ye cries of Arrrgh fall on deaf ears, bucko. Here in the briney seas of EN World, we speak the true Pirish language. Tis 'Yar!' ye be groping for. An' now, a bit o' advice from Cap'n Jeph; always triple check ta see if the Sally ye be courtin' isn't a Jack in a dress. They's been poppin' up...

    4th edition rules for Pirates

    The New Style

Hey, now, I was born in '83 and I remember watching the show. Albeit in '86 when my dad busted out the old 'tapes of it. Also, the creepy guy with the mullet and mustache is obviously a Carnie. -TRRW

Look what those sneaky Swiss Wizards invented!

Only the Canadians could concoct something so contrived. If it was Swiss, it would also be covered in chocolate and have the serial numbers filed off. -TRRW

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder...any good?

The world flavor is fantastic, goblins are scary again, lots of little gems hidden in the story. All in all, it's about an 8/10. -TRRW
