Melanie Rawn's Dragon Prince/Dragon Star set is one of my favorite fantasy series' of all time. sentai shows are a huge part of japanese culture. the numbers and colors are very significant, and descend from Noh theatre dramas. I had to write a paper on sentai for my japanese pop culture class a few years back =) It's almost always an odd number of people, and the leader is always red.

no. one of the core concepts that makes D&D what it is is the class system. Take that away and you lose a great chunk of identity and history.

The Age of Mortals campaign setting from Sovereign press. It does a great job fleshing out dragonlance and giving lots of cool cities and weather patterns and stuffs. And the art inside is amazing =) That, or the Draconomicon, easily the best looking book of the year.

unfortunatly, i have to agree. taken with the age of mortals book it becomes much more playable, but even then...

the original novels and modules were written simultaniously. Back then though, they realised that gamers need more options than the railroad that the novels took, so the mods were much more open ended. For my dragonlance games, i use the map, the races, the gods, but not the story. My world...
