i completely agree. If at all possible, make posticons optional. i certainly don't use em, and if there is a way to get rid of them for me without inconveniencing everyone else, i'm all for it.

i decided to go to gencon on a weeks notice as well. used frequent fliers and got there for fifty bucks. met a buddy on a DL board who worked for holiday inn and got rooms for the whole con for a total of 25 bucks. the actual badge cost more than getting there did =)

For what it's worth, Jean Rabe is writing a new book with Andre Norton called "Return to Quag Keep". I just read about it in Rabe's new author profile that was posted on the wotc books page. I can't tell you how excited i am by the prospect. /rolls eyes
