What Does the RPG Hobby Need Now?

Nonetheless, GM's doing world building, creating a setting, adds value through authenticity.

Do Tariffs Apply To RPG Books? Maybe, Maybe Not!

PDF's are a chore, more work than the regular book layout. I once had publisher collapse and lose hundreds of bookmarks.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Indeed, there have been efforts to fight back against it in the fb game and truck groups I belong to there. It is annoying to see it pop up here though.

What Does the RPG Hobby Need Now?

True, though just to note, while the mechanics are similar, Solis People of the Sun is a modern sci-fi, solarpunk-ish, near future setting.

What Does the RPG Hobby Need Now?

Re: Prep, sounds like just a full setting. That is fine though personally I like world building all that. I made my setting very modular so you can play with the setting, or as someone said the other day, they just use my maps, which is cool too.

How Much Do You Care About Novelty?

I read a period news article about Yalta and the reporter described it as a withered, small brown man meeting a giant in a wheelchair. History, the past is ... yeah. Not good. For India today, one thing they point to is no more famines since decolonization.

How Much Do You Care About Novelty?

Worlds of Design: Breaking the Fantasy Mold

I set it so they had to sail across to the coast of Cyrenaica (Libya) to find the...

GMing Mistakes You’ve Made in the Past

I have made plenty and will make more. None really stick out in my mind, mostly it is in the realm of "the little metal creature is 20cm long and weighs 2kg" and then the players question it's density. Or one wanted to build a hatch, and I had everyone go to a scrapyard where there was a fight...

How Much Do You Care About Form Factor/Book Size?

I find I don't really read pdf's anymore, I will still use them for reference though. PDF's, spreadsheets, docx all too much used in work to be fun afterwards.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

One of my dogs when I was a kid was bitten on the nose by a rattlesnake, vet was like "I don't know if he is going to live." He did though, had a gnarley scar on his nose.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

The worst was someone had taken the carpet, so anytime the door was opened to the building, a draft blew up from the floor. Secondarily, was the ability for it to drizzle at any time, and then the dampness set in.

How Much Do You Care About Form Factor/Book Size?

I do letter hardback in pod, digest would be bit too thick for some and I'd have to break it up. I have thought about soft cover. Someone sent me this:
