Well a lot of results so far have gone as expected though I was seriously wrong about Ecuador, and I think Trindad & Tobago will regard a draw against Sweden as a very good result.
In the games coming up today we have
South Korea : Togo - my prediction 2:1
France : Switzerland - prediction...
Germany are not playing that well at the moment, Ballack is out injured and Klose only just back, so I think it will be tighter. Germany 2 : Costa Rica 0
Poland 2 : Ecuador 0 - the game is at sea level and Ecuador have had most of their wins at altitude, Poland will also have a lot of support.
Of course I have to say ENGLAND, but then after that the more likely candidates to win are Germany (home advantage + Germany always do well), Brazil (outstanding attacking team), France and Argentina. Dark horses Italy, Spain.
Got to admit I was glad to get a much more SF episode of Dr Who at last. It was one of the better ones this season, even if without the emotional intensity of the GitF or School Reunion, but nice to get back to the exploring of alien worlds.
I liked it, actually more than the cyberman episodes, but it may have faced a bit of a hostile fan reception due to the more humorous approach. It had good use of Maureen Lipman as the Wire, but I'd like to have had a bit more to the plot and some more use of the minor characters.
I like it as a good way of avoiding things getting too time compressed in game time for characters gaining in experience and level, after all a 20 year old 20th level character lacks versimilitude to me.
Most of most of them. When I review its cover to cover and I'm trying to got back and do the lot with reviews so eventually it will be all of all of them.
I've got to admit after School Reunion and TGITFP I was a bit disappointed by these as the pacing seemed a bit uneven and the numbers of characters involved meant that few got much time to shine.
Good things: Mickey/Rickey - a chance for some motivation and background at last
Rose in a maids...
I thought that this was ok as a too parter, probably about a 5/10 for the first part and 6/10 for the second, I think that continuity between episodes is a little handwaved by the references to what the Tardis crew have been doing between times (which just happen to be published in novels by BBC...
Ok the best thing would be to explain to the players that you are getting burned out as a GM and you need a break, so either one of the players GMs for a while or you play other games that don't need a GM while you get a break.
