New Metrics to Measure the Industry By

Personally I'd like to see all the financial results rebased to the Gold Piece standard! :) Seriously I would think that only WotC and GW do this sort of thing, I'd guess that for WotC it might well be as part of surveys done by Hasbro as a whole as a corporate of that size operating in a...

    Real Life Stats

Shouldn't there be CHA modifiers for how often you shower? Personally I'd expect to be lower than average in Dex (always been poorly co-ordinated), average on Str, fairly good on Con (reasonable club level distance runner), good on Int (reasonable educational record, part completed Msc)...

    Play without owning rules books?

OD&D CoC D&D 3.0 - I started playing a couple of months before 3.5 was due to be released so held off on buying for that reason. With Paranoia as a GM I tend to prefer that players don't have the rules, but with D&D I prefer it due to the complexity and number with 3e.

Wilderlands of High Fantasy: Sucky Maps

Though I would have loved the maps to have been on the same paper as the old JG ones the current ones will do ok.

    favorite book of all time

This is one of those impossible questions! I've seen a few people vote for things I love already, and I'll try and do a 'Desert Island Books' 1. Alice's adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll 2. The Iliad - Homer 3. Code of the Woosters - P.G. Woodhouse 4. HMS Surprise by Patrick O'Brian...

Great Hero Showdown Final Round (Voting Closed)

I did think that he was a likely winner once I saw the last four. Of course I really wanted King Arthur to win through as a true brit.

    "It's just a game."

Make mine a solid 2. I can play other stuff, but I think more about RPGs when I'm not playing them than say Munchkin or Monopoly.

Great Hero Showdown Final Round (Voting Closed)

I'm going to go with Indy, even though Batman is mighty cool in some incarnations I still tend to think Adam West!

    Multiclassing

I'm not opposed to multi-classing in theory, but I need a reason why at the minimum, e.g. from having spent so much time in combat and training with the town watch, Oderic the Rogue now takes a level of Fighter.

How Did/Will You Name Your Kids?

Random naming tables of course! In reality it'd probably be the usual mix on family/friends names and what sounded right.

The Golden Age of D&D and its Art...

For me I suppose the Golden Age of D&D is between 1977-82 or so, so its the original artists, the Trampiers, Sutherlands, and for me a personal favourite Paul Jaquays that are the art that defines D&D to me. After 1982 I was off into playing RQ2 and Call of Cthulhu and now I've come back to D&D...
