Love and Monsters is an episode which really divides opinion, I think there are few people who think, oh it's okay or it may just be that it provokes those who love or hate it to comment unlike some other episodes.

Very occasional in genuine accidents like misjudging the effects and area of a spell or where somebody fails a save they'd normally make, e.g. the Rogue rolls to make a reflex save and gets a one, takes full damage and goes below -10.

I'd say Silk Road and Bards Gate as the top two out of that list.

With 3e no problem whatsoever in fact I prefer it to be limited to the core rules.

I really prefer 1st, but I'm open to starting a little higher so that characters are harder to kill and can be more fleshed out in terms of the system.

Would it really be D&D anymore? Not to me I think. To be honest I don't really care if a 4e comes out as I don't need it and I've got plenty of 3e and C&C material to work with.

I'd play OD&D(1974) by preference so voted none of those editions, but otherwise B/X if OD&D is not available.

Three core books and that's it. If I had some spare cash I'd buy the DMGII, but I'm not keen on splatbooks and thirdparty publishers meet my requirements for adventures and stuff better.

I enjoyed the few I saw. I liked the contrast between the '70s cops acting like they were on the Sweeney and the modern day approach to policing by the lead character.
