Hethas' Gambit: Game of Death discussion [rnd 5]

My long lunch just went in the crapper. Dammit. I'm running a game this evening, I'll see if I'm up to going without sleep late tonight. I'm dying to post this stuff so the beatings can commence! -seasong

Hethas' Gambit: Game of Death discussion [rnd 5]

Just realized that I never answered the How Ugly question :). It took a lot of killing, but one of the two up north is dead.

Hethas' Gambit: Game of Death discussion [rnd 5]

I've been given a long lunch this afternoon in recognition of my hard work, so sometime this afternoon I will try to put up at least part of the round :). I may have to post it here, as the blog page sometimes takes a while to load. -seasong

Hethas' Gambit: Game of Death discussion [rnd 5]

Alive. Just tightly leashed at work, and too tired when I get home :(. The round is actually finished, I just have to write up the visible portion for an update. If I don't have that tonight, I may just run through and delete invisible stuff and post the driest round evar. Probably won't post...

Hethas' Gambit: Game of Death discussion [rnd 5]

Probably Sat morning. I'm a bit swamped right this second, and I've got a game this evening. As for teasers... hm. Naw... I'll just focus on getting it out tomorrow morning :). This round is more of a middle round, anyway - some twinkness, but the real fun starts when the dust of invisibility...

seasong's Light Against the Dark III (Sep 29th)

Academia: And in the darkness bind them... Hsethmah (sometimes spelled Hhsethmah) Little is known of this ancient god, save that His name lies on the tongues of spiders, and that Allas cast Him into the Infernal Realms by Allas when He unwisely bit Her ankle. And even that little tidbit is...

    SRD 3.5 Competition

Purely as a side note, if anyone is interested in mimicking a more 1st ed, 2nd ed or 3rd ed feel for the fonts, this page outlines most of the major fonts TSR has used historically.

    SRD 3.5 Competition

Sorry :o. It does look good - those things are mainly tweaks. Nope, not bad at all, I was just curious.

    Metamagic List

Hm... I actually like that, though :). Especially if it allows it as a free action - that's the chance you take for the benefit at +1 spell level :). Well, I'm going to think about this. I like the idea, but I'm not sure how I want it implemented for the setting.

Everyone, Tell us about your games, please!

Re: Lurkers, Non-Genconners, Tell us about your games, please! 1.) How many players in your group? Core group: 4 players, 1 GM. Others: 4 others that I play with. A few others I don't play with, but who are connected to other members. 2.) Do you DM? I GM ;). 3.) Do other people in the group...

    SRD 3.5 Competition

Well, yes. But that doesn't exactly save me the work of doing it myself, now does it? ;) So, looks good overall, but for a few comments: 1. That's not a good font for screen reading. For printing, it is pretty good (for look, not readability), but for most monitors it will cause eye strain...

    SRD 3.5 Competition

See my point (2) ;). I'm not convinced, either - I was just pointing out that the content wasn't the selling point. Computer fonts range in usability from bad to worse. For printing, however, some fonts can be surprisingly readable and yummy. If you've ever seen high-resolution output from the...

    SRD 3.5 Competition

    1) The document isn't what's on sale. The additional ease of use is. 2) I don't think it has been proven yet that one can successfully sell that ease of use. edit: stupid typo.

Questions about the new SRD [summon Orcus!]

It's more likely, I think, that they saw discussion on the matter, sent an e-mail to one of their lawyers, and the lawyers sent back something along the lines of "Doh!" -seasong

Questions about the new SRD [summon Orcus!]

Actually Mark, not to rain on your parade, but that's NOT what the copy I downloaded says. Mine says: And if you'll check the beginning of the thread, so does the one that Wulf downloaded. I'm supposing, although you didn't say anything, that WotC has noticed their error and fixed it (you'll...

    Rank the D&D 3.5 classes!

Top Four, Neck-and-Neck 1. Fighter. The important part of being a fighter, is that you figure out what the other guy is good at, and then you do something else in that particular combat. Magic items should be selected to give you ways around the more annoying things (like wall of force), or you...

    Metamagic List

Re: Leash Again So what I was saying before is that this seems a bit backward - casting the spell originally doesn't require components, allow an AoO, etc., but then unleashing it later does? CAN be a ready action. I like how you wrote this part in this version, however. -seasong

Questions about the new SRD [summon Orcus!]

I agree that this (WotC's bungled legal copy) is a serious topic, but I have to laugh about it, or I will start screaming ;). "In other news today, the 2003 SRD included a shocking announcement that the term d20, as used in the 2003 SRD, was product identity and thus not open content. Fans...

    A 3.0a SRD?

Just a few notes: there is no SRD 3.0 or 3.5. There are just SRDs for 2000 and 2003. Secondly, you will need to include the legal copy from the 2003 document, since it includes everything from the 2000 document and some additional stuff (like updated copyright info). There is also likely to be...
