Would you use a transporter beam?

No, I would not use it. I prefer the original me, though others might disagree.;)

What will you do in your old age?

Given the constantly rising age of retirement, I'll probably die at work and it will be hour or two before anybody notices.

    Military Retirees & Healthcare

-The healthcare provided to U.S. military personnel is certainly not 'free', it is figured into their salaries and benefits packages. The year before I left active duty, back in 1995, they gave me a 'rough' breakdown of my salary and benefits. The values they placed upon housing, food and...

When your regular DM can't (or doesn't want) to DM for a while, how do you prefer to rotate DM duties?

We used to run an alternative campaign. But now that we all are working, we just do something else when the DM can't run.

    Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Pathfinder Unchained

4 out of 5 rating for Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Pathfinder Unchained There are a lot of neat options provided in this book. The three or four revised classes show promise and I liked the scalable magic items. I'm just not sure how much of this would actually get used in the campaign.

    D&D 5E (2014) Faerun Visitors Bureau

...You could have them created by some ancient empire. I remember them being pretty old in FR, cited in both ancient Netheril and the Serpent Kingdoms. ...There's some mention of them being a product of a 'creator race'. In that case, their true origins might not be known. ...I think 4th...

    D&D 5E (2014) Would you change a monster's hit points mid-fight?

...Yes, I would. ...If the encounter was clearly tougher than it should have been, I have no problem shaving off a few hp from a monster to avoid a TPK. ...If the encounter was clearly way too easy, and the player's are knocking it out without any serious effort, I have no problem adding a...

    Keeping a Group Together

...This is most often the tactic that I have used, and have seen used. Most of the time, "fudging" is simply small, minute changes that benefit pc's and are largely undetectable to players. ...I really see no reason why a DM should feel guilty, or a need to explain, making small tweaks in...

Do you knowingly buy game books you don't intend to actually play

Very rarely will I buy a book that I don't intend to use. Such a book better be getting some darn good press from sources that I consider reputable.

    The Crow Remake / ReBoot

    The Crow Remake / ReBoot

My first concern would be with the talking bird. If not done well it could really detract from the movie. I'm also not sure that Belgium is a good substitute for the urban wasteland imagery of Detroit.

D&D 5E (2014) How do you decide which Races to disallow (and/or Classes)?

...For campaigns in published settings, I do not put limits on what's listed in the PHB. I do, however, require that the players learn enough about the campaign world to come up with a roughly plausible history for their own characters.

    Wolves and changing perceptions

...Extermination campaigns against wolves were pretty pervasive in the U.S. in the past. Backed mainly by the cattle industry, they persisted for a long time and did much too give the wolf it's "evil and vicious" stereotype. While its true that ranchers today are compensated for wolf...
