D&D General The Player's Quantum Ogre: Warlock Pacts

Thats what I mean, its essentially just some name drops. There's no in depth coverage like a Deities and Demigods.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I've always wondered where that came from, never heard anything like it from any other region of the world.

We have gone 10 years without them really going into the Gods in detail, its crazy at this point.

    Our Physical Fitness

Typical Monday, but the order was different after bench which threw a lot of things off. I was also recovering from the travel, since I absolutely suck at travel. Still happy with it all.

I cannot disagree more. One is magical to their bones, in their blood, the other is a hack being drip fed power by another being. OK, bring it all back then. Deal.

The sorcerer, not comparable. The monk, used to require lawful, discipline. I wouldn't weep if that came back. Bard and Barb, are not super comparable. Ranger, nope. It's about the baseline fiction, and what the designers are trying to say.

I do, but its away from me. The SRD is on my phone while I'm working. :D Yes, I understand phrases, what I'm looking for is how you or anyone else navigates what they mean. "Never Again" Ok, what does that even do? It tells me literally nothing.

Personally, me/I/personal, if a Paladin breaks their Oath, thats just end of the line as a Paladin. Everything about a Paladin is their Oath, a dedication so strong as to be Divine itself. You break that? You are not even a Paladin anymore.

So @Aldarc mentioned I should probably ask what Experiences are. They seem extremely abstract/arbitrary to the point of esoteric. Looking at the SRD, I can get the obvious ones, background, actual skills, but the 'Phrases' just seem open ended and ripe for misunderstanding?

I'm looking at it as motivation that can change over time, just as they do for real people. The motivation of the level one knight may be to see the dragon defeated, but it's not within their reach at first. To me and for me, the loop of SD is central, and that involves loot in various ways...

Of those, I am looking at. Class/Subclass, keep. Ancestry, keep, DH style with mixing. Communities, keep. Adding in SD Languages Background (SD) replaces Experiences. I don't know why but I was having a hard time wrapping my mind around Experiences. Connections, dropped.

Oh you talk it up, but you keep saying its 5e. Its not, and this little back and forth we had you seemed to associate it with 5e instead of breaking away and having it be its own thing. The fact you have your own house rule document, 500 pages I believe you said, so I'd say fly that flag. You...

I dont know, if I was you I would embrace and promote the fact its not 5, and its its own thing with its own forum for discussion. All you are doing is centering D&D and 5 (which is now 5.5 but the majority of the world doesnt know or understand the difference) and reinforcing that 'its all...
