Morning: Danger Girl, "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)" - M&M, PL 6

FIFY. I mean, your assertion was disproven earlier in the thread when Frai's first choice was declared to be Agent Zero. Some women would prefer to be a male ninja, apparently. As for Barracuda, I haven't read the comic and from the description at the top and on Wikipedia I thought he was...

[Dread] Jenga beat up my dice! My results from the indie horror RPG.

When I ran my Dread game at GenCon, I had one player who had never played Dread before and after summarizing the rules, I was asking my players if I had missed anything. Someone brought up a rule that you can ask someone else to pull for you but you tak ethe consequences and there was some...

[Dread] Jenga beat up my dice! My results from the indie horror RPG.

On Labor Day, I ran a Dread game for two other people and decided to try out an alternative resolution mechanic, specifically an idea similar to the stones from a bag idea that was thought up by Cerebral Paladin earlier on this thread. One of my players who had played Dread once before but died...

Welcome to ENWorld DC Area Gameday III -- Saturday, October 18, 2008!!

I'm thinking of running a Dread adaptation of "The Sea of Sorrow", an old Spelljammer adventure from an early 90s issue of Dungeon magazine. I haven't decided whether or not to yet and I see Jody seems to be running an interesting Dread game already in the morning.

Welcome to ENWorld DC Area Gameday III -- Saturday, October 18, 2008!!

I hate to point this out, but you have "II" instead of "III" in the title. :)

    Check in here!

Yeah, I know about the LIRR, though for some reason I had thought it was within a couple miles until you clarified yesterday. On Friday, we'll either be heading out to Fire Island (damn Village People!) if the weather seems good or going back into town, but either way the LIRR would be the way...

    Check in here!

We wanted an extra day to see NYC since we've never been there before and Queenie kindly offered to let us stay over an extra night before the gameday. :)

[Dread] Jenga beat up my dice! My results from the indie horror RPG.

I'm thinking Dread can work somewhat off genre as well, though you have to make sure your players know what to expect. Some of my players I think expected a bit more horror and a bit more camp. I am planning on using Dread or at least a Dread blend for some gritty heroic fantasy. Stuff like the...

    Check in here!

Well, we're about to walk 4 miles to the next town over, and we generally walk 2 miles (half an hour or so) to madwabbit's house from the metro for gaming, but at night when trying to maximize time, I think we'll give ya a call on the train. :) Your number should be the same as on the GenCon...

LIRR. It's within walking distance of your place, right?

Suggestion for the ENnies: Awards for Individuals

I don't see the editor thing as a problem. If you had three writers and you awarded the ENnie to them, couldn't they simply thank their editor who helped them much like the publishers do now or how people at say the Oscars do? I guess there'd be an issue in creating enough medals for a book...

Suggestion for the ENnies: Awards for Individuals

Going to GenCon for the first time this year, I got to experience my first ENnies. The ceremony was professional yet fun, perfect for gaming awards. The speeches were classy and the music was funny but still appropriate. All in all, very well done. One thing that stood out, however, was that...

[Dread] Jenga beat up my dice! My results from the indie horror RPG.

I know I mentioned Rodrigo when talking to you cause he's the one who first ran Dread for me and got me into the game. That's the Morro Castle (sinking ship) game that he's run a few times at ENWorld gamedays. Sorry you didn't get to meet him, cause he runs a good game of Dread and I think...

Welcome to ENWorld DC Area Gameday II -- Saturday, March 15 2008

So as this thing gets closer, any ideas on dates for DM's to start posting games and players to sign up?

[Dread] Jenga beat up my dice! My results from the indie horror RPG.

I ran my first Dread con game at GenCon this year and I think it went pretty well. The game featured the players as the Village People staying overnight at a YMCA for a promotional tour, with campy hijinks ensuing. The tone was much sillier than a standard Dread game, but the tower seemed to...
