I don't like the wording on this, purely because it implies you can only change the rules if everyone is having more fun. Sometimes a necessary rules change results in some of the group having less fun so that others in the group can have some fun at all.

The best way to curb powergaming is to nerf your monsters. Once the players realize that you can kill the monsters without having to fight for their lives all the time, they tend to loosen up a bit on the characters they make.

I see pages for creating a creature and rules for NPCs, but I still don't know if this book has the robust monster creation rules or not. Every article and video I have found on the book doesn't mention their existence either way.

I disagree with the entire premise of this thread. I don't want healing to be useful in the middle of combat. If healing becomes useful in combat, it becomes mandatory in combat, and I just don't like having to force anyone into the healer slot of a party. Also the metric used is entirely...
