Banning a Player from my Group. Am I Justified?

Send him off, calmly and maturely explain why, and then feel free to do any one of these to his character once the player leaves. All signs point to this fellow being an active obstacle to your campaign. If you're more about irony, sort out the character in a way that is conducive to the...

    Levels, what do they mean?

Skill and adventuring capability. Hit dice (should, I think) represent an ability to take far too many more beatings than you should be able to, due to constantly testing the limits of your being, and keeping in shape for it all.

Raise Dead (and similiar) = Straight xp penalty

That makes more sense. Also have it that it's just like the XP lost from some spells. It can't rob you of a level, but it does impede future level gain. That is, unless it's one of those things that can't be touched lest revival be overpowered.

    Would this be evil?

The OP's case has to do with forced reparations (at least in part). That actually helps the community, and therefore stays Good. Chaotic in the unconventional, extra-legal sense, but good. Edit 3:36 pm: (Even if the goal is to make them the bitch, it still helps the community directly), hence...

Law vs. Chaos - the forgotten conflict

Your LG v CG one would also be a shining example of a primarily diplomatic, rather than combative conflict (although in really heinous circumstances, it may devolve into such unless a neutral party (no pun intended) intervenes as a mediator).

    Would this be evil?

Very unconventional (and far from the Law side), and good at its core. CG.

Law vs. Chaos - the forgotten conflict

If any of you want, I MIGHT (big might) start a lawful campaign in the future, where unlikely allies try to put down an uprising that may collapse whatever region I decide to put it in. Edit: Or a chaotic campaign where the party is part of a major rebellion. We honestly could use more of those.

    Monk Variant- Martial Artist

PM is privileged, sadly. Also, my email is the same as my Yahoo handle (typoon_160), at yahoo.com. @Danny: Also, to really try to draw on all those disciplines would be awesome, though long and involved even with *books. I still like the way you think, Dannyalcatraz.

    Monk Variant- Martial Artist

The intent is: Part fighter, part monk, more based on combative skill than the use of Ki. The reason I'm willing to make strong efforts to balance it is because I intend to actually use it in a game, and I want to make it acceptable for the DM. Also, I have addressed even slightly exotic goodies...

Is it still possible to save this class without caving it in further somehow? Finally, thank you for your analysis.

Shadowgate-like segment. My players don't have the right key.

I was thinking of creating a segment based on the games "Shadowgate", "Uninvited", and "Deja Vu". I'm just wondering, if any of you are familiar with the three adventure games, where to judge the EL of such a segment, and how hard to set the saving throws and other survival chances. This...

Hey! Let's make another bad module!

The hostiles also can't be affected by raise dead, as the kill is a death effect, not a damage kill.

Anyone had a paladin Fall and then dropped the PC?

Miko Mizayaki springs to mind as to how I'd play it, only less one-dimensionally: Severely grieved by the loss, but determined to prove myself worthy of it again (DM option. Atonement works in this case if there's a willing Clr9 anywhere)

    stacking weapon focus

If I remember correctly, the Rule of Extremes applies to attack rolls. However, it is a bit heavy-handed, and it's better that it be replaced with some sort of natural check and balance against sky-high attack bonuses. However, weapon specialization should be able to stack, as some skilled...

This may be a doublepost, but if you want, you can look at the current version. I hope it addresses your issues with this class. The regression to d8 and the constraints on counterattack should help at least.

    Are HPs Worth the Realism?

The least fuzzy way of doing it, in my humble opinion, IS heroic toughness, or probability-based injury (Fort saves and all that), regarding health.
