I consider a system crunchy, when the group playing it often has to look up the rules instead of having them memorized. Apart from spells and certain class abilities, that doesn't happen often during play.

I'd rate it a 5, when comparing it to other editions of D&D and other systems I've played. There is 'some' crunch, but it is pretty easy to understand and run, with little to no math. Magic is really where most of the crunch is.

At least this new variant has a cool theme song. Also, I suggest instead of Transformers names, we name any new variants after Resident Evil boss monsters. I await the Nemesis variant.
