D&D General Did D&D Die with TSR?

I've played 2e, 3e and 5e. They all feel like D&D to me. But over the years it has just grown into a better game that is easier to pick up and play.

The Batman - Official 4K Trailer (2022) Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz | DC FanDome 2021

I think every new actor tackling the role, and every new director, is a chance for it to be very different. Remember that when Nolan made Batman Begins, people were kinda bored with Batman too. Batman and Robin had pretty much killed everyone's excitement about any new Batman film. And yet...

DUNE Movie: Thoughts, Opinions, and Impressions

Not really. The story has a logical mid point, and that is where it ends. It did not feel abrupt to me at all. I also strongly disagree with the OP. I consider this movie a masterpiece, and superior to Lynch's film in almost every way. Go see it in the theater.

    New Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer

I think this movie will be just fine. As long as they don't throw in a CGI Harold Ramis, it will be just fine.... ...just fine... -nervous twitching-

    Cowboy Bebop live-action series

Yeah, the acting is indeed a bit wooden. Maybe on purpose? But I love the visual style, and I feel more positive about the actors portraying the characters from the anime now.

    New Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer

Ouch, yeah those reviews are not kind.

The Batman - Official 4K Trailer (2022) Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz | DC FanDome 2021

I'm still not sold on this Batman, nor the batmobile. I do like the choice of having the Riddler be the villain, and the idea of doing a Batman movie like a detective (though the trailer does not give this impression).

    New Ghostbusters Afterlife trailer

Another video from Adam. Also, this movie is getting pretty positive reviews already. It may actually be good.

    Hawkeye Trailer

Hawkeye attending an Avengers musical, which portrays him as the weakest link? I love it!

D&D General Thaco the angry clown... really?

I thought I wanted to know who RPGPundit is, but as it turns out, no I don't.

D&D General Thaco the angry clown... really?

That's super weird. Lanefan sounds nothing like Thaco, and the two words have but one letter in common!

D&D General Thaco the angry clown... really?

Its funny to laugh at small things that people get really unreasonably upset about. This thread is the reason Thaco the Clown exists. I'm a longtime 2e and 3e player, and I find it funnier now that I've read this thread. I'm looking forward to a future npc that makes fun of 3e and 4e.

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Books Delayed By The Shipocalypse

    What is the "shipocalypse"?

Critical Role Legend of Vox Machina

Now this looks like a D&D show done right. What was the whole deal with Orion? Is there a bit of internal drama that I missed?

    So, Wandavision?

I wonder if that means we'll see Agatha in one of the big phase 4 movies at some point. I mean they already have her walking around as a meet and greet character at some of the Disney parks.

D&D 5E (2014) If the DM plays his own PC is it ok for the party to kill him and take his stuff?

I have played in a campaign where an npc was gradually becoming a DMPC. A character that would always force themselves into every quest, have access to very powerful abilities and equipment, and force our party to do things we didn't want to do. Like if we neglected to investigate something in...

    Black Widow

So not only did she get a huge amount of money, but she will also continue to work with Disney. Especially that last part surprises me.

    D&D and the rising pandemic

Another thing we are seeing worldwide, is a lot of the vaccine hesitancy occuring in strong religious communities. And sometimes we even see churches encouraging their members not to get vaccinated. I think governments need to take a stronger stance against that, and simply pull their tax...
