Yet Another Damage Reduction (Playing now please help)

Thats pretty explicit. You can only penetrate the DR of a creature with the appropriate weapon, except in cases of the bolded bits above. None of which apply to material DRs, you need that specific material to bypass those.

    For Nail - The Psion

Thats ok, most of your equipment you won't need on hand most of the time anyway. The 10 str came from your example psion who was encumbered with the necessities yet was still carrying a greatsword for some reason. I was talking generalities, not your specific psion who obviously did take the...

Yet Another Damage Reduction (Playing now please help)

The answer is no, its in the description of Damage Reduction under Types, Subtypes and Special Abilities in the MM I think, not 100% sure on that tho.

    For Nail - The Psion

I keep most stuff on my pack horse. In a pinch tho, survival can replace the trail rations, Create Water the waterskin and a blanket instead of a bedroll. You can do a few things to bring this weight down, including replacing the greatsword (which you aren't proficient with, anyway) with a...

    For Nail - The Psion

At 10 strength a light load is up to 33 lbs.. 12 str <= 43 lbs, 14 <= 58 lbs.. so I guess it depends how strong your psion is and what else you're carrying. But if 15 lbs is such a big deal, that suggests you have a quite low str (10?), so why are you wading into combat with a 2h weapon? The -1...

    Pit fiend wielding a weapon

"Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) it is described as wearing, or by character class." "Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Rogues are proficient with all simple weapons, plus the hand crossbow, rapier, sap, shortbow, and short sword. Rogues are proficient with light...

    Epic Damage Reduction Feat

Epic isn't a material, neither is magic. Material is something like silver, adamantine, cold iron, etc. Slashing isn't a material either.

    Pit fiend wielding a weapon

Almost. The humanoid type has a note saying that if they only have 1 (racial) hit die they exchange the features of the humanoid type for those of their class; the features being HD size, BAB, save progression and skill points. However even humanoids get their racial traits irrespective of the...

    Pit fiend wielding a weapon

I've been toying with the idea of a Tiefling Wizard 5/Eldritch Knight xxx based on the idea it had martial weapon proficiency from its outsider type ;) One of the few ways to make a caster that isn't disadvantaged too heavily by the LA !

    Awakening Trees

I figure the trees HD are based on its size, like an animated object. ie. large = 4HD, huge = 8HD etc

    Requesting Paladin build advice

The rules don't actually differentiate between types of armour in desert climates; that breastplate will be just as arduous as full plate. Which is to say, not very. Just cast endure elements. "A character in very hot conditions (above 90° F) must make a Fortitude saving throw each hour (DC 15...

max strength bonus for composite bows

Oh good, lets make shortbows even more of a bad choice than they are now... So a medium creature with a composite long bow could have +6 (+4 for medium, 50% extra for rare materials) and a shortbow could only have +3 (+2 for small, 50% extra). Ewwww.

    Claw, Claw, Bite, Karate Chop?

You can have other attacks; but they're still part of the flurry. So a lvl 1 monk with 10 str and TWF feat and a kama in the offhand can attack at -2, -2 TWF (unarmed, kama), or -2, -2 flurrying (unarmed, unarmed) or -4, -4, -4 (unarmed, unarmed, kama). No problem. However the same monk with...

    Claw, Claw, Bite, Karate Chop?

Its been pointed out before that this FAQ answer directly contradicts the rules. Which happens alot in the FAQ. Heck, it even contradicts itself fairly often.

    Claw, Claw, Bite, Karate Chop?

A few problems with your position: 1. You didn't give any TWF penalties to this character. With multiattack, his hooves are at -2. With the TWF stuff he's either at -2 or -4 I forget exactly how the oversized TWF works. So his hooves should be at the same (or even higher) bonus as the weapons...

Thats actually "i before e except after c, when the sound is ee" I believe ;)

    Claw, Claw, Bite, Karate Chop?

If you flurry, you're considered as flurrying until your next turn. Thats why you keep taking the -2 on all attacks until then, including AoOs. Thus, there is no "after". Note: you can only TWF and flurry in the same round if you're using monk weapons. As natural weapons aren't monk weapons...

Shadow Conjuration and Sepia Snake Sigil

This argument doesn't hash with an illusionist having a phantasmal killer turned back on him with a helm of telepathy ;)

    9th Level Spell Foresight: Useless?

"In addition, the spell gives the character a general idea of what action the character might take to best protect him or herself - duck, jump right, close the eyes, and so on—and gives the character a +2 insight bonus to AC and to Reflex saves. This insight bonus is lost whenever the character...
