I don't really have a favorite expression, but I do like to carefully rephrase vulgar, obscene, or blasphemous phrases so that they are more polite and better-suited to business meetings. "I don't give an airborne coitus..." "When the excrement impacts the turbine..." That sort of thing.

And I'm over here like I'm greedy, I want more of both.

I don't play a lot of retroclones, so take my vote ("capture the feel") with a grain of salt. Whenever I want to play a game that captures the feel of the old-school, TSR-era B/X Rules, I will play the old B/X rules. No cloning needed; I have the Real Deal right here, ready to go.

Well, to be fair, I am asking about all conventions, not just gaming cons.

I figured the graph would be U-shaped...I figured there would be lots of people who don't go to conventions, and lots of vendors who go to several conventions, but not very many people in between. It seems I was mistaken.

That's fair. I definitely enjoy them less as I get older. Any day now I will sublimate into a Dana Carvey SNL character.
