Why do you lke the Primal source?

For me, the reasons I like it are all wrapped up in a sentence I first read almost thirty years ago: "A thing is about to happen which has not happened since the Elder Days: the Ents are going to wake up and find that they are strong."

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon reels back from the demon's horrific assault, and his blast in return goes wild, streaking past the demon's head and fizzling out against the far wall. Wincing, he shakes his head vigorously to clear it. *Ugh, what was that?!?* *unclean. foul. burn it from the world!* *Well yes, I...

    What 4e does right

I love the Primal power source and everything associated with it. There's just something about the idea of the world itself waking up, flexing its muscles and telling the gods and primordials to pull their pants back up and go home that strikes a chord in me. It's like being in fifth grade again...

Grakk should have 8 hitpoints. When you're healed while dying, "you go to 0 hit points and then regain hit points from the healing effect." (PH, p. 295)

I know I didn't hit "Submit" twice, so I don't know why it posted twice. Silly, silly ENWorld.

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon, his eyes wide as he watches the demon lay about with its hammer, moves to keep the heavily armored dragonborn between himself and the monster, then sends another bolt of energy streaking towards it. "If this is Zal'ekthees's work, I'm impressed! Or possibly appalled!" Move: Move to...

The other +2 is from the Bracers of the Perfect Shot, which give a +2 damage bonus to ranged basic attacks. Thanks for the reminder about the extra damage from the crit! Sadly, I rolled a whopping 1 for the bonus damage. Whoo. *twirls finger*

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon moves quickly to slide behind Vrrsk't, waving a hand as he moves to send arcane symbols flaring green on the demon's hide. As cool shadows envelop him, he sends a greenish-purple bolt of energy crackling towards the monster, slamming into its chest. Minor action: Warlock's Curse on...

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon's eyes glow a brilliant green at the demon's words, and strange tones echo in his voice as he raises his rod towards the ceiling. "Sorry, I'm afraid I'm spoken for!" *What the hells was that?* *a challenge like that cannot go unanswered* *Of course it can!*

"His fate will spread to others if that thing gets loose, Vrrsk't. It has to be dealt with one way or another, and it doesn't look like this fellow is up to the task." Morvannon eyes the man sharply. "You really don't have *any* idea what this thing is? What were you *trying* to summon?"

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon peers into the room cautiously, aghast at what he sees there. "What are you talking about? What is that thing? Is it connected to what happened to the family upstairs?" Augh! Invisible Castle is down again. Is there another dice-rolling site that folks use? I wanted to do a couple...

Morvannon will be in the middle, carrying his rod in one hand and a sunrod in the other.

"Magnus! Kamotz! Come look at this!" shouts Morvannon as he stares at the hole revealed by Grakk's blow.

"It's not just that," Morvannon says faintly in response to Kamotz's concern. "That business with Slardy-whosis was just as nasty on a physical level. It's that..." he sits and takes a deep breath. "It doesn't look like these people got to fight back. This wasn't battle, it was torment."...

Morvannon walks into the room with the dead bodies. He turns pale, and very quietly moves to vomit in a corner.

Morvannon looks around wide-eyed at the destruction. "Whatever the motives here, I doubt very much that greed was among them. There's a lot of items still here that would fetch a good price to folks like the Red Boots." Streetwise skill check tohelp a primary check: 1d20+10=21

Morvannon quickly raises his hands in a conciliatory fashion. "My apologies, I meant no offense." *stop poking the death-worshippers* *You're probably right.*

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

bwahahahaaaa Morvannon blinks at the news. "Is this Zal'ekthees challenging your Lauto's power here? For a 'minor deity', that seems a bold move."
