    D&D 3.x [3.5] Redeeming an Intelligent Weapon

I don't know of a rule to help with this, so I offer my opinion and probably what I would do. More than likely I will have to decide this at some point as one player (my wife) loves to redeem evil, she just hasn't thought about intelligent items yet. :uhoh: So personally I'd probably add...

Michael's Art Requests (Oyasini and Scene Art)

I like the idea and find it very interesting but I'm afraid no pictures. Which 2ed book/resource did these come from? I don't recall them but it has been a while since I looked over the 2ed stuff. RD

Describe your homebrew in one sentence.

The best I can describe mine without even touching some of it is this: The World of Sorel: Is a world of adventure involving high magic and divine meddling where a struggle between opposites war for dominance in the realm of gods and mortals and balance is sought in an out of balance...

    Your homebrew - how big?

3 binders for printed notes for players and maps. Hundreds of word documents for notes and write ups, mostly notes (over a 500 pages for 1 game years worth of game notes). Hundreds of excel spreadsheets for town info, NPC's (some created some just listed for the town), etc... etc.. etc...

    Building a Web Database

Do we think alike or what? I've had the same kind of goals and thoughts for a management system like this for some time. I haven't seen anything close to what I want and pondering creating it if I could ever get the time, one hell of an undertaking for sure :D , but I was probably...

    XP for NPCs

Yeap I do. I track XP for NPC groups whether they be allied or not with the party based on things they do. Including fighting the PC's. Some of the BBEG's that have yet to be faced directly have recieved levels "just because" without going the motion of calculating XP. Sometimes I do this for...

Mind Blank and Telepathic Bond = The Uninformed Barbarian?

Basically Ghostharp is a 0-level Bard divination spell that allows you touch a harp and cause it to record and then play back a song it heard. So the interesting question is, does Ghostharp record a song played by Mind Blanked Bard or does it just sit silent when commanded to play it back...

Mind Blank and Telepathic Bond = The Uninformed Barbarian?

True Strike against a Mind Blanked target strangely has never actually come up yet. But it would be blocked based on a short conversation with one of my players last night about this thread. Basically, how do you see a few seconds into the future on someone you doesn't exist (via mind blank)...

Mind Blank and Telepathic Bond = The Uninformed Barbarian?

Have to agree with Karinsdad this time. :D This argument almost made it a year since the last time it came up. The last time resulted in no clarification as well but didn’t last nearly this long. Here's the link to the last time for those interested...

    Rant - sort of.

Michael, Sorry to hear things are going rough, I can relate. On a brighter note, it gets better. I too had to "get the piece of paper" to prove I knew what I was doing. Countless years of programming, building and maintaining computers, military trained electronics technician, all of that...

    Excel CR calculator

Works like a charm! Even copying pages. Nice fix. Have to play with it a little more. Now what sort of deadly..I mean..interesting creature shall I make to ki...scare the wits out of the players. :] :D ...Stone Age...nah, wouldn't tell you that...Excel 5 is more like Bronze age...

    Excel CR calculator

Yeah that is weird, but not suprising since excel tends to do some strange things at times no matter what you tell it. :D It might help mine run the macro as well. Which version was this origninally written in? I figured due to the notice I get opening it about the way macros are editted in...

    Excel CR calculator

Actually this problem has more to do with the macro code referencing a worksheet or object by name not by which one is active or current, with just a cursory view of the code so far. Change the macro to use Workbook.ActiveSheet instead of things like Sheets("sheet1") and the macro should work...

Succubus Paladin - Yes or No

One Helm of Opposite Alignment can solve the "always Chaotic Evil" problem. And turn the answer to yes. Without such a thing I agree it is not possible. RD

How long have you played D&D?

20+ years of gaming. Started back with 1E and played an assassin in a city homebrew game for 3 months. Started co-DMing with my DM because he ideas were great but his characterizations sucked. I ran the game and played the NPC's, and we worked out the adventures togather. That lasted about 2...

Cure Minor on self when disabled

I’ve been basically saying this for a while. Neither interpretation can be correct or valid until and if WOTC explains what they mean here. And until they do the circle of argument can continue. Everyone can use whatever interpretation they wish to use and enjoy the game, just it is best...

Cure Minor on self when disabled

So a character who is in negative hit points takes a point of damage does not become Dying? RD

Cure Minor on self when disabled

You cannot have a correct answer as long as there is more than one interpretation. Otherwise this is an attempt to thwart the debate and just bull rush your view as the correct one, which it isn't. RD
