    Litany of Righteousness

I don't know the spell, but the general rule is to double the +x damage and roll dice twice. Bonus dice from other sources (sneak attack etc.) are not doubled. Example: If you cast a touch attack spell that deals 3d6+3 damage and you get Sneak attack 2d6 on it, you would get 6d6+6+2d6 on a...

Magus, touch attacks and Elemental Touch

It would not include "Touch me", "Can't touch this", "Your touch", "Under your touch" and "Touch of Love. Sorry Bards. ;)

    Tumble

¨Thanks for the link, didnt realize that. It seems my ruling last night was consistent with the update (and 3.5 more or less). For multiple opponents - both my book and the link says clearly there is +2 per enemy beyond the first. There is no mention if there is one or more rolls, but I...

    Tumble

Sorry if this has been discussed to death, but I don't have the "privilege" to search these forums so here it is anyway: How does tumble work? DCs are ok, erhm I mean understandable, but it is not described how they work if you fail. 1. What happens if you try and fail to tumble out of a...

Magus, touch attacks and Elemental Touch

It would require spells with range of touch, or with the word "touch" in the spell name.

Magus, touch attacks and Elemental Touch

You get me wrong, the house rule would be to allow the spell with Spellstrike. For no other reason that it makes sense and is hardly overpowered on it's own. Being able to stagger an enemy is nice, but the damage is underwhelming for a 2nd level spell anywya - even Chill Touch is comparable...

Magus, touch attacks and Elemental Touch

I consider houseruling this as well. As for the free attack and spell consumption - Elemental Touch, just like Chill Touch, actually give several touch attacks, presumably over several rounds (although the latter could be interpreted to a crazy amount of touch attacks in one round). Now, if he...

Magus, touch attacks and Elemental Touch

Hey I was looking at the spell Elemental Touch, and then at the Spellstrike ability of the Magus class. It says "At 2nd level, whenever a magus casts a spell with a range of “touch” from the magus spell list,(...)" Elemental Touch has ironically range "personal." Does it mean it cannot be...

Gauntlet-style melee axe chucker cleric build

Oh, didn't remember the Thrown quality. That's still a +3 weapon only working as +1 for you, and you need dex to be able to hit anything. Very suboptimal, but might be an amusing character. As for Telekinesis - don't. Put ranks in spellcraft instead, and you can craft the weapon instead by...

    Flurry of blows question.

You're a DM? My first tip would be to read through the rules again, so you get the basic stuff such as the general rule that Str mod applies to all melee attack and damage rolls unless otherwise noted.

Gauntlet-style melee axe chucker cleric build

Wait... what allows you to use a battle axe as a throwing weapon in the first place? What range does it posess?

    Weak fighters and armor

Well seems like you need strength for a fighter then. Period.

    Weak fighters and armor

Hello While considering dex-based fighter builds I was suddenly struck by a notion: What happens if you are encumbered by weight but ignore the encumbrance of armor? I'm talking of the fighter's Armor Training ability of course. It allows you to move at full speed while wearing medium and...

    Do Bards still suck?

Melee attack while playing an instrument? Hey, I was thinking I should ask my question here instead of making a new thread: It is stated here that it is only a free action to sustain Inspire Courage, and that you can even cast spells while doing so. However there is nothing in the class...

    questions about Mounted Combat

If you move your mount one move action, stop and shoot then it's the same as if you had done so on the ground, so no penalty. The advantage of Mounted Archery is of course that you can move double or even run speed of the mount and still let loose a barrage of arrows... meaning infantry will...

    Invisibility, Stealth, and Sneak Attack.

If you are blinded, enemies counts as invisible to you, so a blind Rogue should still retain his Uncanny Dodge. The only exception is being immobilized. Flanking still works until Im. UD of course.

    Mounts, How do they work?

My stance is that the DM decides if he allows such a companion or not, and also what kind of feats and scources for them are allowed. This feat is clearly marked as "not part of the core rules." Anyway, it looks like the OP got his answer already, and that he is in agreement with his DM. No...

    Mounts, How do they work?

I'm with the DM on this one, core only is a good rule if the DM isn't comfortable with new splatbooks and the unbalancing that may be the result of allowing everything. You're not supposed to be able to fly much at lower levels anyway, so wait until large sounds good to me.

    My attempt at a ship

My point was only that Ships of the Line are a bad comparison for typical fantasy merchant/explorer/priate vessels. Wether you want 18th century ships in your fantasy game or not is a completely different issue. There is no particular reason why a quasi-medival society could not have developed...

    My attempt at a ship

Well you could always check the www, despite everything there must be some accurate information out there. Also, SotL are a different beast altogether - that's like basing what crews you need on a modern cargo ship to an US Super-carrier. A SotL could be an interesting base for an adventure or...
