    D&D 5E (2014) Random Encounter by Terrain

Yeah, sure. As far as I remember 3.0 was the last edition with complete random encounter tables. Here you have creature lists by CR, terrain type, guidelines and a few examples. They couldn't find any place to put them in the book, but I'm pretty sure they will be available soon as free...

    D&D 5E (2014) Random Encounter by Terrain

I've still yet to decide if I should use the 1e MMII or The Mother Of All Encounter Tables charts to create my 5e random encounter tables.

D&D 5E (2014) Can characters give themselves Horrible Scar?

That's the being proficient with Charisma (Intimidation) skill part. But the scars gave him advantage. :)

    D&D 5E (2014) Undead in 5th Edition

Nope, there are no specific monster type related traits. HD is based on size (eg. a zombie has d8, an ogre zombie has d10), the special abilities might vary from monster to monster even under the same type. Most undead are immune to poison and poisoned condition as far as I remember.

    D&D 5E (2014) What does a Kraken look like?

I suppose the chaos is intentional. You'll only see tentacles and an ugly maw before the end, just like in the new Clash of the Titans. It's up to you how the monster actually looks, but if you're looking for what the designers and artists intended, this entry with the Kraken preview might be...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dragons and Resistances

Lycanthropes get immunity because they have it in myths. The case of the peryton and the grick is a more interesting question, they seem to be mundane beasts for me, although one can argue about the peryton's magical origin. The true reason was probably to make their defense tougher without...

    D&D 5E (2014) Dragons and Resistances

This. Dragons are creatures of flesh and blood, no matter how much magic power they have. They aren't outsiders, spectral creatures, magical constructs. On the other hand, it's interesting that the lich has resistances that the dracolich don't get.

    D&D 5E (2014) Opposition

Even if my campaign is in DCC RPG, I will leave this here: the party is soon going to face a floating swarm of planet devouring machines with hive mind in space. But the real boss of the campaign is going to be humanoid.

D&D 5E (2014) DMG - prepare the hot pokers for Amazon!

I prefer Book Depository. While the price reduction isn't as big as for Amazon, the lack of shipping cost compensates for it in my case. Plus they had the book available around the same time as FLGSs.

    D&D 5E (2014) INJURIES rules questions !

It's an optional rule. Use it as you wish, it's up to you. I wouldn't bother with monsters, unless you have long term plans with one of them.

D&D 5E (2014) Scroll Casting, casting a spell from a scroll 1 higher than your spell slot

DMG, page 200. The DC to cast a higher level spell than available is 10+spell's level.

It's crossbow expert, not casting expert.

D&D 5E (2014) How Often Do You Have NPCs Join the Party?

My players like using hirelings, so it's usually the players who make NPCs join the party at my table. Some of them were cannon fodders, but there were a few who became more memorable with time and were treated as if they were party members. In the previous Wilderlands campaign this includes...
