    [OT] Sniper plays D&D?

Remember, Mark -- a noble spirit embiggens the smallest man. Your noble spirit has embiggened you to mighty heights, this we can all see.

What kind of campaign world do you run?

In Oarain, the area the PCs come from and in which they are presently active is pretty northern European-like. So far they've only been in one country and have crossed the north border into some unclaimed lands. However, there's a decent amount of variation over the world, and parts of the...

Duck and cover, the mage left his GPS at home

What sort of DCs do you use for that, Piratecat? I had a problem with this recently, with someone counting and recounting and recounting again (took at least 2 minutes of him counting) squares to make sure none of the party would get hit in the entangle spell he was casting.. it was pretty...

I messed up cutting the sealed section in Dungeon again!

Well, for Dragon 300, I used scissors, and that was pretty irritating and uneven. For the Dungeon/Poly issue, I used one of those plastic letter openers you get at job fairs and the like -- the one with the long point of plastic leading up to an angled razor blade. That worked very well.

    What's the ultimate Dwarf ride?

Another good option would be an Icelandic horse, which are smaller but stronger than larger horses. Perfect for that plate-mail wearing, too-much-stuff-totin' dwarf madman adventurer we all know and love.

    to r.a. salvatore fans...

I got tired of TSR published books a goodly while ago, and I don't think I've bought any novels that WotC has published. However, I voted on behalf of my brother, who neither plays D&D nor has ever been to this site, and he's 26. Last I was aware, Salvatore was still his favorite author.

    What's the ultimate Dwarf ride?

I hate to be pedantic (okay, perhaps I secretly revel in it! bwahaha!) ahem, yes.. anyhow, the Rocky Mountain ram is indeed a breed of bighorn sheep, but there are lots of different sorts of bighorns, some of which are endangered. See the Bighorn Institute for more information if you're...

[BoVD]Well, since I can't seem to post this on Wizards forums...

Even Gollum? Can't really argue that Gollum isn't evil. After all, most of his desires revolve around killing various hobbits. However, he leads Frodo and Sam into Mordor more-or-less safely (more safely than their other possible route at least), and he himself destroys the One Ring, thus...

    What's the ultimate Dwarf ride?

The dwarves in my campaign ride Rocky Mountain rams.

What feats do you give your clerics?

The cleric in our party has taken Spellcasting Prodigy (FRCS), Extra Turning, and Brew Potion. In the last campaign I DM'd, the cleric took feats like Improved Initiative and Combat Reflexes.. that player is playing a fighter now, doing much better.

[OT] What Wierdness is in *your* inbox?

Ahh, this one's cute. Many spammers email randomly. They pick common names, combinations, etc (I imagine some software does it, really), and combines them with domain names. Sure, they probably get a thousand bounces for every real email address they hit, but since most of them are slithering...

[BoVD]Well, since I can't seem to post this on Wizards forums...

Peter Greene plays a rapist in Pulp Fiction. Ving Rhames plays a criminal and soon-to-be torturer. I'm sure we can agree that these actions are potentially vile (depending on one's definitition of vile of course) and that they are at the very least unacceptable social behavior. So basically...

    Has FR "jumped the shark"?

When one takes into consideration that the Book of Vile Darkness is not a Forgotten Realms product, its lack of Realms-specificity becomes less surprising ;)

    Has FR "jumped the shark"?

Whoa, dude.. you've got some exotic hobbies. As for the Forgotten Realms jumping the shark.. it's hard to say. I feel that it's too constrained by novel histories, but.. it's an individual decision. I don't think I'll DM the Realms again, but I do enjoy reading the 3e FR products so far.

How do You as a DM handle sensitive information that is not privy to all characters?

I've done all four of those from time to time. It really depends on what's appropriate for the specific information and the time. Example: Rogue Joe buys some poisons in town, then the party heads to Orc Valley for the same-ol, same-ol. I can't very well do the poison purchases over email...

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Hi Gary, It's very nice of you to be sitting around answering question after question here.. and when I saw this: I just had to ask: So, then, what monsters did you designate as "must be cut" from the Fiend Folio?

    Is this party underequipped?

I'd take the roper out entirely. I don't know your players of course, but mine (and every other player I've ever met) don't handle the whole concept of "maybe we shouldn't fight that thing" too well, but rather operate under the assumption of "if it's in the module, we must be able to take it."...

    Character Help, please?

Mistah Midget, Hey, if you're gonna get to use the fine, fine product of Nyambe, there's some decidedly dragonish stuff there. First of all, you could see if the DM will let you either play a sei sorcerer straight out (they're not all that different from the PHB sorcerer with the exception of...

    D20 Review Section Reputation

A cursory examination of the d20 Reviews section will demonstrate that Nightfall has given 4 stars to the majority of Scarred Lands products (6 products), and 5 stars to only three products. Furthermore, he has ranked products from two other publishers higher than the majority of Scarred Lands...

[OT] Attorneys on the EnWorld boards

I'm not an attorney myself, but I'm a legal assistant. The attorney I work with moved out here to Vermont and learned the following when she arrived: 1) You can be a lawyer in Vermont without going to law school by serving an apprenticeship as described above (which she thinks is the...
