Okay, where do you stand on diagonal movement?

    Yeah, a SQUARE piece ;)

During an attack, when to check bloodied status?

That would be a neat kind of ability though, a little extra damage that kicks in if you get the target bloodied. Good chance they already made something like it, actually.

Okay, where do you stand on diagonal movement?

Depends on priorities I guess. If you want as little book keeping as 1-1-1-1 and 2-2-2-2, but can't stand the resulting square bursts and diamond movements, then 1-2-2-2... is a simple compromise.

Okay, where do you stand on diagonal movement?

Hah! As far as I know I'm the only person who brought up 1-2-2-2, and I wasn't even advocating it. Just curious about it. :) At least it gets more votes than 2-2-2-2, which I can only see using to emulate Final Fantasy Tactics or something similar. Not sure what I would prefer though, need to...

    Social Combat Powers?

Alternatively, there could be a form of social class that is independent of your combat class. So, you could have a "Noble" or "Commoner" who is a rogue, warrior, cleric, or what have you. It has potential, methinks.

    1.5 instead of 1-2-1?

What do you guys think about 1-2-2-2... movement?

    Diagonal wonkiness scenarios

How would 1-2-2-2... effect things? It's about as simple, just one easy diagonal and the rest are double. Results in larger areas being octagon shaped, which I like better than squares. I'm probably missing some important complication though... Good? Bad?

    Fomorians article on DDI

Underhill is good. Feydeep or feydepths wouldn't have been too bad either. But it's hardly important, I think anyone who wants a different name for it will just make one up.

    Mage Hand cantrip

Yes. It would involve it going through my palm though. :p But hey, a mage hand wouldn't have that problem right? It would probably be at a huge penalty, but I would allow that use.

    DDXP characters - unexpected tactics?

Huh. Seems too general use for a warlock specific feature, maybe it's derived from being a half-elf? Or an optional feat granted by the class? Well whatever, the effect is the same, even though bands of warlocks aren't quite what I had in mind... Oh, bother. I'm thinking of house ruling that to...

    DDXP characters - unexpected tactics?

Two thoughts on this: First of all, I'm pretty sure this is a feat, since it is a passive ability applies to any ranged attack. It probably replaces point blank shot. Second, it doesn't require you to be closest, just no further away than anyone else. So naturally this will result in multiple...

    Overnight healing potential house rule

Thank ye. :) I guessed I missed it before, but healing surges do indeed work anytime between encounters. So, simply give an extra surge or two that are provided during extended rest in place of full hp recovery. Or, give them nothing at all. While I'm at it, here's some other ideas for...

Why Not Just Call Them Stamina Points?

Might as well call them "Cool Points" Why can you take more damage at high levels? Because being higher level means you're cooler. How did that fighter survive the fall off that cliff? He's just that cool! Why are wizards so weak? Because wizards aren't as cool, but magic is cool so it's all...

    Alright already!!!

That's more or less how I'd like to see it in 4e, as something that could be done by anyone at anytime in a very limited fashion (but less awkward). But instead of being trained in it and spamming it all day, it's once per encounter. Works for me.

    Overnight healing potential house rule

This is probably a little premature (if not a little, then very much so ;) ) but with the hubbub over characters getting a full heal with overnight resting I thought I'd throw this house rule idea out here: When resting, a character can freely use their healing surges. They can use as many of...

Draconomicon: surprises ahead! (scoop + speculation)

I think a dragon that is both blue and breathes lightning because it has a fundamental tie to specific elemental or natural forces is plenty compelling.

But what if I LIKE Anime/Video-game tropes in my D&D?

I'd love to play a game with videogame and anime tropes, but I'm not seeing them in 4e like others seem too. I see a more interesting, cinematic and perhaps even over the top play style, but nothing really derived anime or games. As long as the rules allow for such things to fit in the game, but...

Fighter "Stunts": How will they work?

I'm split on this actually, some things do work far better as stunts that can't be applied more than once in an encounter. But other things are less suited for it, and maybe some kind of "inner reserve power" is appropriate then. The first would be any kind of action to catch a target off guard...

    D&D 4E New "Confessions of a Full Time Wizard" - 4e tidbits!

It may be even simpler, since each spell has a level associated with it the per encounter slots may let you select spells of one higher level, and for per day spells of two higher levels. Or, spells chosen in those slots have general benefits available, instead of alternate versions of each spell.
