    Shemeska's Planescape Storyhour (Updated 29 Jan 2014)

As an aside: [very minor WotSQ spoiler ahead - nothing serious, though.] You can find a sample Loth chapter - Chp. 1 - at O Love's page.

    Your DND music soundtrack

I don't ever use music with lyrics that are more than an undefined ahh-ohh chant kind of thing. I just don't think it fits.

Should Players Engage With The Rules?

Yup. If a player doesn't know his stuff, it's more work for the DM - and it's work that quickly becomes annoying. I expect the players IMC to know the rules pertaining to their characters (especially: knowing what their spells do, as I won't learn every spell from every book by hard). I can...

RPGs as Stories, or Board games?

    You nailed it, man.

RPGs as Stories, or Board games?

Ditto Steel_Wind concerning the balance aspect, though my group is gravitating more and more towards the "storytelling" approach (even in battles), so I voted for that.

What's your single favorite D&D creature?

    Ultroloths. Nothing beats a cool-looking schemer :).

    Favored Class Rules?

I don't use them. However, I have an unwritten rule going, which states that no PC may take more than 3 classes and more than 2 prestige classes during his career. Everything beyond that is probably powergaming, anyway :p.

Who wants to make a new game?

I think so, too. At least the game system should be given.

    Lords of Madness Art Gallery

The one on the right looks rather appalled to me :D. However, the art's top notch. (if you disregard DCM, that is).

    Meh. Maybe we won't.

Auld Grump, I think you are judging too harshly here. It's a DM-Player thing, really. If the players don't want to play the same kind of game the DM wants to play, things don't work out. This works both ways, regardless of what style of game you choose (railroading of absolute freedom). Let's...

    Meh. Maybe we won't.

I've gotta agree with you here, Quasqueton, and I've had this problem as well. Explanation: While I, as a DM try to avoid so-called railroads at all costs - - my players seem to *want* me to railroad. They just don't like the kind of game where they decide what happens - already tried...

    Elven Favored Class?

Just ditch favored classes entirely. They serve no apparent reason besides punishing those players who don't want to play the clichéd race/class combinations, IMO. Simply stating that "the majority of elves are wizards" should suffice. And yes, I think wizard is more fitting than sorcerer, at...

    Eberron Aliens movie conversion

There's no official update booklet for the BoVD, but the Leaflets of Triel (an inofficial, but high-quality IMO) pdf found at the wizards forum, suggest the following: So, should you decide to pick up the book, not much conversion work.

Heroes of Battle and Defining Roleplaying

As an aside from debating the silliness of this quote (and yes, it is silly) - I'm really, really looking forward to Heroes of Battle. I already own books with mass combat systems, but this seems to fill a niche that is - thus far - unoccupied. If they do creative stuff and don't just repeat...

    Eberron Aliens movie conversion

If you want to use something really close to the movie aliens, you might use WotCs 2nd ripoff of them (the 1st being the Steel Predator): Kythons. I think they're featured in the Book of Vile Darkness, if you have access to that. They come in several states of development, and are quite the...

    Shemeska's Planescape Storyhour (Updated 29 Jan 2014)

Nice update. Poor marut, however :D. I'm looking forward to how this all ties in with the Jester and Many-As-One, because, right now, I'm feeling a little lost ;).

    Your DND music soundtrack

I used music for the first time in a game I had last new year's eve, as a kind of experiment. What I did was search for music that fit the campaign's theme on the internet, and on various OSTs. Thus, every major (N)PC got his/her/its own music that was cued whenever they appeared; every major...

Lords of Madness Stuff (Update: Some folks have it!)

Umm ... there's nothing like that in LoM. The only thing I can think of is "Craft Aboleth Glyph", which exists both in a magical and psionic variant. Maybe you confused these?

Lords of Madness Stuff (Update: Some folks have it!)

Ketjak: There's some Eberron sidebars, like "Using xyz in Eberron". Nothing major, though. There's a Shadow templated choker in there ;) but that's about it, IIRC.
