I don't have proficiency in either Survival or Nature. I can try to Navigate as I have a decent Int bonus for unskilled Nature checks but Logrim would not offer as he is not a tracker or navigator. Logrim would be more comfortable investigating stuff when it comes to that.

Also Ludo (My Steel Defender) has Vigilant which means he can't be surprised.
