They have actually said that we WILL continue to be able to buy the 2014 core books in the DNDBeyond marketplace even after the new books are out.

I actually think that they will now support 2014 free Basic Rules, and - when and if a 2024 SRD comes out - they'll support that as well. The reason I think this is that Roll20 will definitely support both, and if DNDBeyond's VTTs (both Maps and Project Sigil) don't, then that's an obvious way...

FWIW, this issue will likely keep me on Roll20 instead of moving over to DNDBeyond's Maps, for the foreseeable future. That's a potential incentive.

So Roll20 will offer exactly the functionality that is apparently just too technically difficult for DNDBeyond to implement. When creating a character, you can just choose whether you want to use 2014 or 2024 rules. Either will be fully supported.

I've been using it since launch. And you're bordering on the personal attack stuff tbh.

Weapon Mastery is easy to ignore. New spells and new class abilities automatically replacing the 2014 ones on your current character sheet is less so.

Nope. Reading the post, they're not waiting for the SRD. If it was in the 2014 Basic Rules, you'll now get the 2024 version of it for free on DNDBeyond. EDIT: Never mind, I misread your post, sorry. (PS I'm not holding my breath for an updated SRD).
