D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

The effects of the Light cantrip end if you cast it again, so you could only have one active at a time.

    D&D 5E (2014) Spelljammer Errata

People on Reddit are saying they removed all the Hadozee art from Beyond as well, is that true?

D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

Targetting saves can be tricky, since proficiency for higher CRs can mean quite a high save mod even if the stat is low. Still, it's usually Con and Wis in my experience, targetting Int and Cha usually works out well, a lot of creatures just have negatives on those.

D&D 5E (2014) WotC has updated the Hadozee glide ability on DnDBeyond

I saw a lot of people pointing it out, mostly on Reddit and Discord, the biggest question was if it'd actually work since it didn't specify if the gliding used your movement or not. Then in the official release they specified that it did not, indeed, spend movement. So, if anything, it seems...

D&D 5E (2014) WotC has updated the Hadozee glide ability on DnDBeyond

The glide was in the UA, they definitely saw people pointing out the issue in the feedback. I truly don't get why they kept the same in the book just to fix it after release.

D&D 5E (2014) WotC has updated the Hadozee glide ability on DnDBeyond

You'd need to have the book to see it on Beyond, they'll probably add it to the official errata list whenever they update that.

D&D 5E (2014) WotC has updated the Hadozee glide ability on DnDBeyond

If only they had months to change it after the UA was released. Oh, well . . .

D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

A Bandit Captain can survive a Meteor Swarm if he makes the save, but he can also stand in the middle of a thousand normal Bandits, and they'll all die all no matter what. Hit Points are op.

Unseen Servant with a stick is a good trap triggerer.

D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

Reminds me of a heist I did on a game a while, ago we were hired to defend a castle from some druids attacking, fought them off, but they cut our payment due to some poorly placed Fireballs. Everyone else left, but the two Wizards stayed, used invisible familiars and a Manifest Mind to find...

WTF is "cold iron", and why's it so special?

Adventurer: "Would Cold Iron to the heart kill you?" Fey: "Yeah, well, who wouldn't that kill?"

D&D General What's the DC for a fighter to heal their ally with a prayer?

In 5e, stabilizing a dying creature is the same power as the Spare the Dying Cleric cantrip, a DC 10 Medicine check, and one use of a Healer's Kit, so not a big feat. If he actually follows a god and it's a dire situation, a DC 15 should be alright, maybe it upgrades to a Cure Wounds if he...

D&D 5E (2014) Being strong and skilled is a magic of its own or, how I learned to stop worrying and love anime fightin' magic

Some of the GoT characters did have level 20 plot armor by the end, ngl.

D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

Like always with these things, it'll depend on the setting and how common these casters are. Etherealness and similar stuff existing just kinda forces the setting to have them be commonplace if you don't want the PCs getting anywhere they want when they reach that level. Or you could homebrew...

D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

Forbiddance takes a month of casting everyday to be made permanent, so you'd need a caster willing to spend a 6th level slot for a month. Definitely doable, but should be a pretty steep price.

D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

RAI seems to be that a bond from Greater Steed would remain, it's still your Steed while polymorphed, so they should remain your Simulacrum as well. Although one does summon a creature, while the other creates them straight up.

D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

I take personality being you straight up. Still vague though, but: This leads me to believe that all the effects of the Simulacrum spell would remain, including the "they obey you" part. You can keep concentrating, just don't see why you ever would if we're going with them just becoming a...

D&D 5E (2014) Are Wizards really all that?

They retain their personality, I've only really seen it played as it still counts as your simulacrum. If not, then it wouldn't really work well on yourself either, since you'd be a demon that just appeared there and has no memories or an idea of what's even happening (wouldn't know to keep...
