NEW YEARS: MONITOR BLOODSUGAR & WEIGHT

According to what previous doctors have told me from my age, level of activity, and mildness of diabetes (there's a technical term, but I can't remember what it is), there is a chance that if I lose enough weight that diet and exercise will be enough until I'm older. While real life has thrown...

    What does the fighter need...

While appreciate the feats galore, I think fighters don't really have enough skill points/skills. -Suzi

Am I an evil DM, am I lazy, or is this just a good idea?

You should include option (4): all of the above. :) Personally, I really like pulling the graph paper out and making dungeons, but if that's not your cup of tea, I think you've found a nice site to cut down on the mapmaking time. -Suzi

    Minotaur Legs...

Minotaurs wearing split-toed shoes.... That's awesome Claudio! I prefer mine bovined legged and hooved, and take the human part of minotaurs in the pelvic structure (they're standing upright, right?) and the hands. -Suzi

Do you plan on celebrating March 4th GM's Day (even belated?)

Last year at Gen Con Indy, I was tempted to get the big foam d20, but I was afraid that it would eventually be used as a weapon. :) That stuff is pretty solid and hurts when hurled. It's a gaming holiday that was first celebrated in 2003 where the gaming community celebrates the hard work GMs...

NEW YEARS: MONITOR BLOODSUGAR & WEIGHT

With all the discussion, I though this would be a good place to post. When I was first diagnosed, I didn't want to start medication and tried using diet and exercise only. While I've had relative success managing things in that way, I can't call it a definitive success. So, I'm going to bite...

Do you plan on celebrating March 4th GM's Day (even belated?)

We celebrate in different ways, but the day does not go unnoticed. One year, we were playing a last-man-standing type of game, and I gave Joe mini-ice cream sandwiches each time he offed a PC (I wasn't playing in that game :)) -Suzi

    Happy GM's Day!

We aren't playing today, but I let Joe have donuts for breakfast, my omage to the belly of "He who throws the dice behind the screen." :) In the spirit of the day, I'd also like to thank all the DMs that have run games at the ENworld Game Days that I've had the pleasure to play in. Chicago...

How Do You Scan These Threads?

Other. In the General Forum, I scan things that have been posted in the last day or the day before (starting with the front page but depending on the talking, it can go back a couple of pages). I also visit Publisher's Forum for news/press releases, story hour, off-topic, the OGL games forum...

    Heist Based Adventure

Also a very cool idea. If you make on of the players a mole, preplan and give them the pertinant info ahead of time. Passing notes at the table is a dead giveaway that something is going on. You'll definitly get a reveal then.... and maybe a lynching. :) -Suzi

    Heist Based Adventure

Make the "planning stage" build to the excitment of the execution. Much of heist movies is actually building up to the last 20 minutes of the movie: they are casing places, finding out patterns, looking for weakness to exploit, and getting in some near misses while doing so. Make them roleplay...

    Heist Based Adventure

Twist point--that is a really cool idea. In your game, does the GM or the player determine how the twist-in-plot works out? -Suzi

    [OSRIC] v1.01 release date

We've solicited the first three adventures to the distributors, so gamestores can preorder copies and give the distributors better initial order info (and in turn give XRP a heads up if we need to print more units from the get go :)) I'm really excited about it as Lost Keys to Solitude is the...

Diabetes Type II and Tooth Loss?

IIRC, my dentist told me tooth loss is not uncommon in people with Type II diabetes. He always pokes around and check the health of my gums and the bone (for loss).
