    Awesome blow and AoOs

Yep. The rules are wrong. This goes right with 15 lbs longswords as "rules that are so wrong I can't in good countenance follow them."

    Awesome blow and AoOs

That's fine. You can be wrong. *grin* In roleplaying, it's more important to be consistent than to be correct. (see the 15 lbs longsword.) Just don't be surprised than when a 20th level wizard battle-leader uses telekinesis to throw the BBEG across his battle lines, and wants each and...

    Awesome blow and AoOs

A creautre moved because of Awesome Blow, Telekinesis, Gust of Wind, Bull Rush, or a similar spell doesn't move, it is moved. Let me put it another way: If a PC is standing on a ledge, and a goblin falls down past him, does the PC get an AoO? IMO, the answer is a firm NO. And if the...

Fan websites of WotC products and updated setting, a connection?

No. Weis's game company bought the rights to Dragonlance, and essentially tossed out the "work" that had been done by the DL fan group--I know, I had the great fun of being there and butting heads with the control-freak who ran it. The Ravenloft fan site, similiarly, was planning on doing...

    Using Detect Evil/Good

Simple, really. Detect Spells now only detect a creature with the "Good" or "Evil" kind, unless said creature has something else that gives them an aura (such as being a cleric of an evil god.) Worshipper alignment and religion alignment are no longer linked. I had a player play a...

    Albany, NY Gameday!(Aftermath)

Sure Add me to the "interested" column, Guedo. Long time no see/no talk. For a location suggestion, have you tried talking to InterLan on Madison? One of my players has spoken with them, and they have a fairly open area and food on-site. If not them, there's Flights' new location (room...

    SRD competition winners?

Are the winners / entries from 3.5 SRD contest still around somewhere? I tried looking for them on google.com, but could not find them anywhere... :(

    Drid/ranger animal companion(s)

Yes, by the core rules. (Note the leadership penalty for having an animal compnaion; you're only supposed to have one "special buddy.") That said, if you have a good story for it and it suits your campaign, I say have at and let it fly.

Ogl license on Ip in electronic form.

I'm not a lawyer, this isn't legal advice, if you get sued for doing this you agree to indemnify me for any damages that arise from you following my advice and ignoring the "capitulate to all lawyers or hire one of your own" part. That said. The common standard for including the OGL is...

    Basic ECL Question

Yes, exactly. LA is simply "the number you add to the # of HD that a character has to determine ECL." Of course, it gets confusing with NPC classes, which count as -1 ECL. Your player could have an 11th level warrior or adept if they wanted and still be ECL 11.

    immortals handbook

Acutally, I think that Epic Feats which merely increase a statistic are the best of the Epic Feats. D&D/d20/Prometheus as it is breaks down at high levels due to "ability creep." Easy fix for that: require X ranks of a non-Epic feat as an additional prerequisite. Aren't we discussing new...

    OGC Deity Systems?

If the system is OGC, then yes. I have the "system" from Fantasy Flight Games' Spells & Spellcraft, but it doesn't have enough substance for my purposes. My ideal something would be similiar to Deities & Demigod's Divine Rank system, but without the overabundance of variable abiltiies.

    OGC Deity Systems?

For my own personal (and possibly profesional) use, could the vast knowledgebank that is EnWorld kindly render their opinions on some various OGC Deity rules? I've seen Deities & Demigods, and it's just too complex. And, in a like vein, having a deity be simply a very-powerful monster isn't...

    Prometheus 1.0 Released!

Good question. Unfortunately, I'm not the one who packages the logos. I'll pass along your point to them, though. For the record, any of the three wheels is usable as a logo. Slight varaints were incorporated for use in different sizes.

    Prometheus 1.0 Released!

Yep. The ZIP file contains the license as a PDF and DOC file, and the logo as a GIF, TIF, and PSD file.

    Prometheus 1.0 Released!

The Free Gaming Association is pleased to announce the release of version 1.0 of the Prometheus Compatability License. The Prometheus Compatability Trademarks are an indicator of compatability governed by a neutral party. The 1.0 final license is perpetual: it will never be more restrictive...

Third Party Publisher designation and logo

Mark: You're a bit mistaken on the OpenDie. It will likely be an OGL release backed by a marketing effort to define "OpenDie" as "all text in this book is OGC.", thus neatly placing the onus on the producter to clearly mark what they want closed. A few points: Compatability can indeed...

Third Party Publisher designation and logo

Can you elaborate on what restrictions you find too onerous? The PCL is essentially a tool to ensure that the logo maintains its meaning. It's largely based on the d20STL, and the 1.0 final is a perpetual license--the language requiring updates was stricken, and once we launch it, anyone...
