It's up less than a dollar from yesterday's close, which is peanuts. My point, though, was that WotC is not measuring their success vs prior year, they are measuring to budget. Ergo, we don't actually know how well D&D did, in WotC's eyes.
Hi! Financial analyst here, specializing in corporate and management reporting. The comparison to prior year is interesting, because typically you ground these communications against expectations. Prior year comparisons usually get trotted out when you aren't meeting budget. We don't know WotC's...
No thanks on this Warlock. Just shorten short rests, or give warlocks some kind of control when Pact Magic spells come back. Weapon Mastery is...not great. The ones that trigger saves slow down combat, and the rest just aren't interesting to me. I'm looking for the Book of 9 Swords, not whatever...
The other thing that intrigues me is just how many different options you have for this kind of game.
1. French & Indian War - wilderness point/hex crawl with some intense man vs wild themes, regardless of what sides you play as.
2. Pontiac's Rebellion - similar, but with some interesting...
Ooh! I love it when I ask a creator for the value prop and they can give me paragraphs in response! (This is not sarcasm; I'm genuinely so happy you had multiple responses!) I have downloaded the Quickstart rules from DriveThru and I'm looking forward to the finished product. While historical...
Awesome! Aside from updating the tech, what's new and exciting with this project? What do you think sets you apart from your peers?
Are we getting sweet monsters, like black powder demons and headless Hessians? Awesome factional intrigue, with National Treasure-style secret conspiracies? Dope...
My solution for gunpowder weapons in 5E has always been to have exploding damage dice for blackpowder weapons, but the designers seem to be leaning on a basis just way more damage. For example, in their core rules, they mention that most enemies won't last long, and to start the PCs at 2nd...
I actually picked up the preview version on DriveThru for like $5. Not terrible, although some of the design choices were not how I'd have done them. Race is gone, and you have Origin instead: Officer, Frontiersman, etc.
Will absolutely go back that after work.
