i think DDI will fill your playing fix more than any game could. edit: actually I would love a turn-based 4e control-a-whole-party game.

I think they can. But then people may start grinding- set up 20 high level minions all together, let the wizard shoot them with an AoE power that does damage even if they save. yikes!

I have a question- does the adventure limit how often they can get full rests? as in, they need to make it thru these 5 encounters etc. without a daily.

i am surprised they did not take the chance to release a set of non random minis with each module. i think i would pay 30 bucks (maybe 40) for all the minis i need and seems like they could profit at that rate.

also, doesnt a 2/1 take at least 2 rounds to disable, whereas an 8/4 takes at least 8 rounds for a rogue.

I have a question about dwarves- what does it mean that they can use an action point as a minor action? how is that different from other races?

I wonder if mage hand can be used to give oneself a "stranger"

I dont understand all the whining that goes on here. I used to play DDO and it was understandable- when something in the game is unbalanced, it actually affects players and they are generally helpless to do anything about it. So why come here to whine about the paladin challenge, or the town...

a pally who multiclasses into wizard for controller aspects could just go and fight through everything. a ranger who multi's into rogue could sneak/fight thru everything.

the reason save or die effects have been reduced dramatically or removed altogether is that one single roll should not determine so much of a characters fate. same with 3d6, IMO

thats pretty awesome. 3-4 hp every turn can add up. does the "make a saving throw" apply to their next throw? how long does it last?

thats a great idea! I was wondering how to let my players reroll without totally messing up the RP/believability of the story. now I think I will kill them all, and let the second wave (with xp tho) go in and find out what happened.

i think they are a little too nice, compared to the others shown. esp for classes which dont have the prof. thats 4 feats from 3.5 in one. admittedly, im basing that on very little info.

i dont think you will feel the same in 8 years. in 4E they focused on the underlying math, and made a deliberate effort to fix it. there will be synergies, sure. but i think they have minimized the number of times a DM has to just houserule veto things. the more options the player has, the...

so do you think paizo screwed it up by deciding not to 4E? remember, most people here are here because they are nuts about 4e, so a little bias.
