I feel the same, and suspect all of the characters I roll will end up taking toughness and the +2 to will, fort, and reflex save feats simply because the other feats are inaccessible or substantially less useful.

In 4E, characters get many more feats than in earlier editions. It seems the constraint isnt how many feats you get, but whether or not you qualify for those feats. I agree that some feats, like the "improved critical" (3.5 term) or "[weapon category] mastery" ones should be somewhat...

and also- because they were too uber in 3.5 no one should have been casting save or die effects or d6 per level damage spells in full plate+shield for free. spending the feats isnt as much as an issue as the prerequisites, imo.

I hate refer to the cliche, but its all about rule zero. if you have a PC who is a dwarf, give him a +3 on his skill check related to architecture. etc.

I dont understand how the paragon multi into ranger lets you pick up twin strike. is this in the multi rules?

what is the feat the rogue took? warrior of the wild would do mongo in, I think.

Wouldnt a dex of 20 in your build kill him? this is a cool challenge, but I think mongo needs some attack powers and fewer hp. that way its a race against death, rather than rounds, and striker isnt so obviously the way to go.
