I think the d-born is the only race that has +2 to 2 abilities that are main attack, or co-main attack abilities. anyone wanting to do a spellsword will likely look to d-born ftr/warlock multi. a party with 2 or 3 d-borns just doesnt need a wizard.

I think its less deadly, actually. Everyones "negative bloodied" was -10 in earlier editions. Things did more damage, too. so a DM was more likely to kill someone rather than knock them unconscious.

I think sword+board will be the way to go for ftrs. with mastery, +3 to ac and +3 to reflex is really huge compared to doing, what, 10-15% more damage? more damage means enemies go down faster, and in that sense will be hitting less. I think you will take even less damage with beefed up...

they could have made line attacks move like a queen in chess. seems a waste to lose lightning bolt.

I want to do something like: players can only "know" a certain amount of rituals. the total of the min level of the number of rituals they know must be less than 2x(character level)+int+wis+cha.

i think d-born are excellent at it. you can get 18(cha),16(str),14(wis),13,10,8. Off the top of my head I dont think there is another race/class combo that gets to apply both +2's to its two main attacks, but i could be wrong. I think that does a lot to compensate for the MAD.

can a level 23 wiz solo the dragon youre talking about? i wonder what the lowest level a wiz could be to do so.

OK so if he is using a greataxe with str 16, is 1[w] + str damage=1d12 +5 that is, does the +2 to damage apply in a power which uses 1[w] damage or only on a basic attack?

I have a question: If an attack is STR vs. AC and does 1[w] damage does a dwarf with dwarven weapon training add 2 to attack roll for proficiency? Does he add 2 to damage also?
