    Disney's disastrous year

Yes, but would the price of a ticket be an economic hardship and prevent you from going to a movie you wanted to see (if Netflix and similar services) didn't exist?

    Disney's disastrous year

It's a value for the money consideration, not an economic one. In the grand scheme of things, $15-$20 isn't a lot of money. Most people can afford the price of a ticket. (Many people will drop $1,000 on an iPhone and not even blink). The issue is whether people want to spend their time and...

    Disney's disastrous year

The solution is simple. Create movies with interesting characters and storylines. Don't just rely on special effects or shallow tropes to carry a movie.

Pathfinder 2E Quick Rant - Adventure level

A front cover doesn't matter to me. I just want a quick way to determine if I should read further.

Pathfinder 2E Quick Rant - Adventure level

I'm looking for a new PF2 adventure for a new group who will be first level. As I peruse the available options, I've noticed that many of them (both official and 3rd party) don't clearly indicate the character level(s) the adventure is intended for. Why is is so hard to simply display that...

Why go through the trouble of making your own game, when it's so much easier to complain? ;)

Player Core and Gamemaster Core Remastered Review

Well, if your entire job is to design game mechanics, I'm pretty sure they had those ideas on the table shortly after the OGL fiasco. (if not waiting In the wings for the next version) But again, the Archives make the timing of the split between books irrelevant, anyway.

Player Core and Gamemaster Core Remastered Review

I really don't care about the order , but I would think that the classes with the most significant changes would be released first. But the Archives makes the order of release irrelevant anyway.

D&D General If faith in yourself is enough to get power, do we need Wizards and Warlocks etc?

Sure, if the rules allow it, you can gain powers solely by faith in yourself or an idea, or love, etc. But I believe (pun intended) the underlying issue, is that taking deities (or other powerful supernatural beings) with expectations regarding your behavior, duties, or obligations out of the...

D&D 5E (2024) What would you like in the 2024 DMG Instead of the Bastion System?

It just seems another opportunity for power creep. I don't believe another system is needed.

D&D General Is DnD being mothballed?

The rumors of D&D's mothballing are greatly exaggerated.. OT: It will be interesting to see what direction WoTC goes if the VTT doesn't provide the level of monetization that they are hoping for.

D&D 5E (2014) Should martial characters be mundane or supernatural?

Mundane. In 1E they made up for their lack of magic by being able to wield +5 magical talking swords. While magic users had to deal with high magic resistance monsters. Seemed to work out fine.

    D&D 5E (2024) Size = Strength-Constitution?

It's not dubious. It's a reasonable limitation based on fundamental physics/body mechanics. ...But it is a fantasy game where anything goes, so I guess it depends on where you personally draw the line at the suspension of disbelief.

    D&D 5E (2024) Size = Strength-Constitution?

This is an interesting, but I think going from the other direction would also make sense. For example, a 3 foot tall humanoid should have a maximum (unaided) STR score. Now that I think of it, I may need to move this to the unpopular opinions thread...

Planescape Planescape IS D&D Says Jeremy Crawford

Yes, and... it is what it is. It really doesn't matter to me, but it potentially promotes laziness because you can just recycle old ideas with a minor variation. In multiverse 1 Uncle Ben is dead In multiverse 2 Uncle Ben is alive In multiverse 3 Uncle Ben is lovers with Dr. Octopus....poor...
