Jeremy Crawford Also Leaving D&D Team Later This Month

My guess is that they are either ramping up to replace creators with AI, or they want new/lower paid creators to reduce costs, or they plan to go strictly in the licensing route, and allow third party creators to produce new content.

What does it take for an RPG to die?

It takes a lack of sales which is driven by sustained interest. You may have a great launch/successful Kickstarter, but if you can't keep the customer engaged or bring in new customers, it's likely to peter out.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I know that China doesn't determine what you charge the end consumer for the product. But in a controlled economy such as China, the government could (and does) subsidize various industries, which allows the manufacturing company to sell the product to you at a price that maintains it's price...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

Yes, that's true, but China wants to maintain it's dominance, so it may be willing to sell below costs in the short term.

"I think Hydrogen is a rare element" and other science facts.

But your OP was about shaming a player for not knowing the physics of hydrogen... "When I asked him how the environmental catastrophe was averted, he gave me the "shocked Pikachu face". So, realism does matter to some degree. Even to you. Each person draws the line of their "suspension of...

..when normalized for body size.... Which brings me back to my original point about size/strength differences. Why am I the only person that provided sources so far?...

"I think Hydrogen is a rare element" and other science facts.

There are links in the information I provided... Including the Wikipedia article. But still, you provide nothing. Get back to me when you can quote a "scholarly article" that counters the information I posted. Otherwise, the assumption is that you're just blowing smoke.

"I think Hydrogen is a rare element" and other science facts.

Here's more data. I'm the only one providing data. Instead of being snarky and arrogant, how about providing a counter-argument with your own sources? And yes, I know the difference between physical strength and tensile strength. No, it is not physically possible for a 3-foot-tall humanoid to...

"I think Hydrogen is a rare element" and other science facts.

"The square-cube law states that as an object's size increases, its surface area increases proportionally to the square of the scaling factor, while its volume (and therefore mass) increases proportionally to the cube of the scaling factor. This means that the ratio of mass to surface area...

"I think Hydrogen is a rare element" and other science facts.

There are people who insist that a 3 foot tall humanoid can be intrinsically stronger than a 7 foot tall humanoid. Science says "nope"...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

When it comes to digital assets, the creators location would seem like the most logical place, but again, it would depend on local laws or legal agreements...so I don't know the answer. But I can imagine some situations where the writers are in country A, Illustrators in country B, editors in...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I would imagine everything is tracked now-a-days. Or at the very least some agreement or law, would dictate its point of origin.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I don't know the specifics, but I would assume the product itself, whether physical or digital, as well as shipping cost (on the physical products) would be subject to the tariffs.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I think the good news is that companies like your own produce unique products. So if a customer is really interested in something, they'll be willing to pay extra. With unique products, customers will not "substitute" a game they like for one they are not enthusiastic about, just because of a...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

Most EU companies will pass the cost off to the consumer. Companies within controlled economies (like China) will eat the additional costs caused by the tariffs, imo.

D&D General Do you play in person or online?

Online. We were playing in person, then switched to online during COVID. It took a couple of the guys about an hour to get to the GM's house, so online play is much more convenient for them, and allows us to have more play time.
