    Reaving Rod and...

So, with the Rogue Weapon Talent, you can wield a shuriken in your left hand, and the bastard sword in your right becomes 1d12. Or if you wield a dagger instead, you get a +1 to any attack. You can also use any rogue power with said bastard sword, because you are wielding that dagger or...

    Reaving Rod and...

If you must wield a rod to gain its properties, that makes most of the rods useless. Since wielding means you are attacking with the implement... Rod of Corruption only triggers on your own attacks. Rod of Dark Reward never triggers. Rod of Harvest only triggers on your own attacks. Rod of...

    Sneak attack question

Once per round means once per round. The enemy it is talking about is singular. If they wanted it to affect every creature you have CA against, it would talk about enemies instead of enemy.

    Reaving Rod and...

So, you can benefit from the property even if you can't wield the implement, as long as you are holding it.

    Reaving Rod and...

No, you have to hold the rod for the property.

    Preview: Brutal Ability

Celtavian, you are just falling into the pitfall of probabilties. Pick up a d20. What is your pecent chance to roll a 20? 5%. Go ahead and roll it. Got a 1? Reroll it. Your chance to roll a 20: 5%. Roll a 2? Reroll it. Your chance to roll a 20: 5%. Previous rolls do not affect current...

    Maptools online game table

Ventrilo has to have one person host it. This can be bad depending on internet connections, firewalls, and computer setups. Skype doesn't require a host (afaik). This usually makes it more accessible.

    Human Rabble

The compendium isn't that reliable for information yet. If there's a conflict, use the MM.

    Unconscious, Dying and your options

It's more of a DM thing. The DM controls what an encounter is and when that encounter ends. If you are still in danger, you don't get out scottfree just because there are no bad guys around. ;)

    Healing Strike

It marks the enemy because it does. Fluff reason: The enemy is so offended by your divine action of healing an ally that he feels compelled to pummel on you for a turn. I have a feeling the mark is meant to be a drawback to the power to help balance it out.

    Preview: Brutal Ability

No. The weapon is identical to a 1d10+2 weapon (or w/e). To make this fit into the framework of 4e, they came up with the Brutal ability. This allows a minimal effect on the rules. The rerolling doesn't matter in this case.

    Forked Thread: Commanding allies

That begs the question of why it says "Creature" then. If it was meant to only affect non-allies, they would have put "Enemy" instead.

    Alchemy > Ritual Caster

Rituals can do a lot more than alchemy will ever be able to do; they fulfill different needs. Alchemy (from what we've seen) is meant to make items helpful in battle. Rituals are useless in battle. This means that it's almost useless to directly compare the two. If you want stuff to do in...

    Forked Thread: Commanding allies

I would say the "Rats-in-a-bag" rule doesn't apply in this case.

    One character: many marks

Warpriest. It lasts the entire encounter, and works for both the warpriest side and the fighter side. Combat Challenge just says "a creature marked by you" not "a creature marked by your Combat Challenge."

    Monster Manual Stat Bonuses

Ah, my bad. I assumed this was another post of "I haven't read the books so tell me what I'm doin wrong."

    Teleportation Circles

For me, I'm glad they left it out. My players have no business messing around making teleportation circles exactly like the ones left there for the last 5,000 years.

    Alchemy

I think they might hit the jackpot for this book. A&EG and MIC all in one... it's a formula made for success! What's the skill check on that? [/bad pun]

    Monster Manual Stat Bonuses

The numbers in parenthesis are not ability modifiers, they are ability CHECK modifiers. They include 1/2 level. Forget everything you know, and reread everything. Assume nothing is the same.
