    Do you study martial arts?

Black Omega, the Gracies that have been losing have been fighting outside of thier weight class (Renzo). Royce lost to Sakuraba, but Sak was really the best of the best at the time and the fight went 90 minutes. Most of the Top fighters today are primarily BJJ with a little bit of...

    Biggest dungeon?

Bloodymage, I emailed you some digital pics of the maps in Axe of the Dwarvish Lords. I HIGHLY recommend that book. I hope you have DSL or some other high speed internet, otherwise it might take a long time to download.

Another Dragon #300 thread - kill the tie-ins

I think my mailman was offended by the vile-content, because he saw fit to not deliver it until yesterday, and he wadded it into a ball first. So much for the "special collectors issue".

Hit Points, Hit Points, Hit Points

Maximum HP at first level. After that, choice of 1/2 the hit die (a d10 would automatically be a 5) -OR- Roll ONE TIME and live with the result. The PC's usually roll.

    Biggest dungeon?

Axe of the Dwarvish Lords. 2nd edition module. It is not HUGE, but it IS a DWAREN citadel. There are two boxed sets of Undermountain. That's ALOT of levels. Yes, they are huge. I think with a little bit of modification, they could pass for dwarven dungeons. I would NOT recommend Dragon...

Anybody running or playing in a forgotten realms campaign set in Mulhorand/Unther?

I think Forgotten Realms 2nd Ed. "Old Empires" detailed these areas. Been a long time since I looked thru that book though, so i could be wrong. (I have a copy for sale too BTW -ThomasBJJ@hotmail.com)

I used to have a copy of the Shady Dragon Inn. I cant even count the number of barroom brawls that took place on that floorplan/battlemat. Sadly, that module disappeared many many years ago,

What old basic D&D, 1st edition or 2nd edition AD&D modules do you think have really good plots, maps, NPC's, or encounters to scavenge for a 3rd edition/D20 D&D game? Maybe list your favorite 2 or 3 books and what is worth scavenging from it.

    Players that don't keep track

The thing is, the more "work" they can do during the session, the better a job I can do DMing the game. As I player (& DM) I enjoy the resource mgmt. aspect. But the main thing to me is, as a game, it's supposed to be "fair". And that goes both ways. I wouldn't want to play in a game where I...

    Players that don't keep track

Well, reading some responses has (as I had hoped) inspired me a little bit. I think next game, I'm going to do things a little different. I'm going to assign each player a record keeping task for the session, and i will rotate the responsibilities or randomly assign them each week. Some of...

    Players that don't keep track

How many DM's have players (or how many of you are players) who do not write down your spells memorized, gold, basic equipment, arrows, current hit points, etc. thinking that you can keep track of it all in your head - only to forget or get mixed up when it comes time to recall that information...

    Level Advancement Rate in 3e

    I have been thinking the same thing about how fast the characters advance. I have been toying with an idea of adding a "Time" requirement as well. Advance from 1st level to... 2nd = 1 month 3rd = 4 months 4th = 8 months 5th = 13 months 6th = 19 months 7th = 26 months 8th = 34 months 9th =...
