Depends on what I'm using the system for. For Rifts D20, just about anything and everything is fair game (which is how I voted in the poll). Sidewinders, not a lick of FX is present. Post Apoc...it depends on if the end of days came out via magic or zombies or just your run-of-the-mill nukes...

I'm with jaerdaph. As you know, it's pretty easy to run Modern without any FX. Those rules and options are easily ignored. I enjoy FX in most of my Modern-line games, but that doesn't mean I feel I should incorporate them into a Sidewinder campaign.

I use the AE classes alongside the Core D&D classes as well as a few other from the Complete series, IK, and WoW and have had no problems. The one thing that I do is keep the spell lists and metamagic feats seperate. Beyond that, mix it up all you wish. Kane
