Liz Schuh on Dragon/Dungeon moving to the web

I have no insider info, but there is one additional consideration that occurred to me. Maybe Paizo was becoming TOO associated with the magazines (or to be more accurate, the brand names). When readers think Dragon/Dungeon, they may think "Paizo" as often as "WotC". With Paizo starting to...

Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine

Well, the "Gamer's Rant on the Movies" article is a rant, as it says. :) While I don't agree with everything he says, I do read his column every month, and it usually makes me laugh. Of course, everyone has different tastes, but so far the majority of readers seem to be in favor of keeping...

Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine

I don't know off the top of my head, but if I have time I'll dig through old issues and take a look. FYI, there is a new fan-made KODT Article Index that you can search in. It's on the KODT Downloads Page. However, if the term "D&D" or "Kalamar" didn't appear in the article title, it won't...

Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine

Each issue is usually 80 pages, though it occasionally goes higher (#126 is 88 pages). Cover price is $4.99, though bulk mail subscribers can get it cheaper. As my previous post noted, each issue contains approximately 25-30 pages of KoDT strips. They feature mostly the same characters from...

Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine

Just to be technical - the KODT strip is approximately 25-30 pages of each 80 page issue. :)

Pathfinder 1E Paizo no longer publishing Dungeon and Dragon

Really? I had no idea. Guess I'd better stop working on Kingdoms of Kalamar product. ;)

    Could Kenzer takeover Dragon?

You mean the Knights of the Dinner Table magazine, published since 1990? :) [promo voice on] What's that? You don't know about Knights of the Dinner Table - the longest running comic magazine on the subject of games and gamers? This multiple award-winning 80-page magazine features the gaming...

Pathfinder 1E Paizo no longer publishing Dungeon and Dragon

That's something that's occurred to me, too. It's tough. Although.... hmmm.... I bet we'd be able to help Paizo out with any ad contracts that run past the last issue. We could just transfer the ad to the Knights of the Dinner Table comic and gaming magazine, so the advertisers don't lose...

What Gaming magazines are out there?

Have you seen KODT in the last few years? :) It's 80+ pages each issue, and only about 30 pages of that are comics. The rest is devoted to articles, reviews and more for games of all ages and systems. See the Table of Contents for issue #126 - shipping to stores now.

What Gaming magazines are out there?

*cough, cough... :) Knights of the Dinner Table magazine has been published since 1990, and is now up to issue #126.

Tell me of Kingdoms of Kalamar

Sounds like rpgshop had some old backstock of the 3.0 edition, and didn't know the difference. I suggets you contact them and tell them that they messed up your order, if too much time hasn't passed since then. Easiest way to tell the difference is that the 3.5 version has a map of Tellene on...

Tell me of Kingdoms of Kalamar

That dwarf thread (from 2004) must also be about the 3.0 version, not the 3.5 update (2007, only a couple months old). In any case, for now, I think we'll just have to agree to disagree. :) I think that, when viewed as a whole (not just on its ability scores alone), each current KPG subrace...

Tell me of Kingdoms of Kalamar

Brilliant, yes. 3.0, not anymore. :) The 3.5 DM Shield has been available since 2004.

Tell me of Kingdoms of Kalamar

Do you have any specific examples from this opinion? I think you're the first one to ever mention it.

Tell me of Kingdoms of Kalamar

I'd like to think so. :) Did you pick up the 3.0 or 3.5 (PDF/POD) version? Have you been to the intro page?

[KenzerCo] Aces & Eights: Shattered Frontier RPG - retail flyer

We've just added a retail flyer one-sheet PDF to our Aces & Eights RPG page. This is similar to the one-sheet that we sent to distributors along with the Aces & Eights sollicitation info. Retailers can print it and give to their customers to encourage preorders, or customers can hand it in...

    Aces & Eights poster maps!

As an aside, let me mention that these extra-large maps are absolutely NOT needed to play the game. The map pages in the book are all you need. These maps are just something we wanted to put on CafePress so we can easily get big maps for our own walls, and we wanted to let the rest of you in on...

    Naming Drow characters

May I strongly recommend Blood and Shadows? There's so much great stuff in it, aside from language, usable in any setting. Here's a sample from that book: "Unlike the surface elves, the dark elves speak their own Drow language. Though this language still uses the High Elven alphabet, it also...

    Aces & Eights poster maps!

We've just added four new Aces & Eights poster maps to our CafePress site! These four maps are two-page spreads in the Shattered Frontier RPG hardcover, but you can get them now, and at approximately 3 feet wide x 2 ft tall! They include: - the alternate history North America - the town of...
