    Opinions on the non-PHB races?

You might want to take a look at our new Kingdoms of Kalamar: Player's Guide to the Sovereign Lands PDF. Not only does it include and update all the races from the 3.0 KoKPG: Humans Dwarf (Hill, Mountain, Stone) Elf (Dark [LA+0], Gray, High, Wild, Wood) Gnome (Deep, Forest, Rock) Half-races...

We've just released a new Kingdoms of Kalamar adventure, Making a Name, as a PDF download on our website. For 1st to 2nd-level characters. ------------ Welcome to Bet Rogala – where adventure is ripe, where great deeds come from little ones, and where your reputation begins. In the...

"What" you are versus "who" you are.

Well, it's an automatic action, not something that the player has to determine when to use, so it naturally eliminates a certain degree of tactical thinking. Now, I've got no problem with having new options, or even this particular ability. But the text implies, to me, that tactical decisions...

"What" you are versus "who" you are.

I think that's sadly true more often than it's not. One example from the PHB II really sticks out in my mind: the expanded barbarian class now offers an automatically activated boost to combat prowess and durability, removing the need for "this often complicated tactical decision", i.e., rage...

[Necromancer Games] Mother of All Treasure Tables preview pieces

This is actually the date that the product should appear on the Kenzer and Company web store. It should arrive in stores before that, but we want to give the brick and mortar stores a chance to sell it first, before it goes online.

After the core, what is the "must have" 3.5 book?

It's no secret that I'm biased ;) so from our site I'd strongly suggest: Goods and Gear: the Ultimate Adventurer's Guide KoK: Player's Guide to the Sovereign Lands (PDF)

Is Ptolus living up to the hype?

Maybe I'm technologically ignorant, but why do you need to do that? Isn't every word of the PDFs searchable through the Adobe Reader feature anyway? Or do those searches let you search when the PDFs are closed, whereas Reader requires all the PDFs to be open at once to search them all...

Right. (Hey Crothian, did you get my email?) The 3.0 print version of the Kingdoms of Kalamar Player's Guide was released in 2002. The campaign setting itself was released in 1994, then released with new material in 2001 as an officially-sanctioned D&D campaign setting (Wizards approves all...

[Kenzer] KoK Player's Guide v3.5 (275 pg PDF) available!

Afraid not. It seemed to us that, while there was still demand for the KoK Player's Guide, it wasn't at a level that would support a physical reprinting of the books. Instead of just re-issuing the old 3.0 version, however, we took the opportunity to update it to the 3.5 rules, address any...

What do you use for naval combat/ship-to-ship action?

Well, of course I use Salt and Sea Dogs, but I'm biased... ;)
