Well, HackMaster 4th edition has pretty much run its course for new products, but we're working hard on the next edition (HackMaster Basic, followed by Advanced HackMaster). Lots of HMB spoilers are here, by the way... ;)

Yeah, that's pretty much one of the stupidest replies ever. Even ignoring the poor customer service, it's just silly to bring only about 100 books to a convention with thousands of your fans, unless it's a small advance printing batch. Our booth was up by the exhibit hall doors on the WotC...

Maybe the determination should be a percentile rather than a page count. After all, you could have a 10-page PDf with only 1 page of rules (10%), or (to use a recent example :)) a 500 page book with 8 pages of rules (just over 1%). Just an idea.

Yes, there was a 2E-compatible version of the Kingdoms of Kalamar campaign setting, as well as several adventures.

Different strokes for different folks. :) To me, the great thing about the different languages in the Kingdoms of Kalamar setting is that, after you've used the setting for a bit, you and your players will be able to recognize most people and places simply by hearing or reading their names...
