    Recommend me an archer PrC

My favorite archer prestige class isn't a prestige class at all -- it's fighter. Use your bonus feats to roll your own prestige class. There are no goofy entry requirements, no strange skills you must take, no limitations by race or alignment, no wasted levels.

    All About Mounts 5-Ride-by Attack?!

Notice that first table has an entry for a "Fine" mount. Remember, in Part 1, he claimed that the DMG rule for "suitable" mounts should apply to all mounts: "A mount must be at least one size category bigger than the rider." (Even though the PH has rules for riding unsuitable mounts.) So what...

Help with mount problem (My players stay out!)

I would like to point out that the Jump rules work much better for you if you have at least one rank in Jump. You can Jump untrained, but it's much, much harder.

    Bear Warrior is NERFED

Sadly, you're doing it right. Bear Warrior is pathetic compared with a properly armed and armored fighter/barbarian of equivalent level. There are several strange rule situations about Bear Warrior, too, like the strangeness about how many times per day you can "go grizzly," and the lack of...

    Barbarian raging and combat expertise

Rage also prevents spellcasting, item activation, Tumble, etc. Put another way, the raging character can't use these skills: APPRAISE (INT) BLUFF (CHA) CONCENTRATION (CON) DECIPHER SCRIPT (INT; TRAINED ONLY) DIPLOMACY (CHA) DISABLE DEVICE (INT; TRAINED ONLY) DISGUISE (CHA) FORGERY (INT)...

Threatened squares for a large creature riding a huge mount wielding a reach weapon

No, the mount can attack and move (even a 5 ft. step) then the rider can attack. If the mount takes only a 5 ft. step, they both get a full attack. BTW, the rider could threaten more squares if he wears armor spikes or a spiked gauntlet. Nowhere near as good as a lance, but nice for a back-up...

Use of Sense Motive skill: Automatic?

Every sinlge lie gets a Bluff check opposed by Sense Motive checks for each and every creature who can hear the liar. The DM should roll these secretly.

My cleric wants to be a druid

From a powergamer prospective, a cleric-turned-druid could make use of Divine Metamagic or Divine Spellpower or even Divine Might. Check out Complete Divine and Complete Warrior.

Another blinking blink question -- grappling

We had a fun one arise a couple of weeks ago. The Arcane Trickster set off on his Broom of Flying. The bad guys were running away, so the AT swooped down to pick up his buddy, the cleric. The cleric got on the broom too and the chase was on. Then the AT cast Blink. We talked for a while about...

    Mounted PowerAttack with a lance

Sure, I see that the FAQ is making up new rules, but if most people follow the FAQ rules, at least we're not all making up our own new rules. And other than books and errata, the FAQ is about as official as it gets. It seems to have much more research and thought behind it than Sage Advice...

    Attack Penalties and Opposed Rolls

Check out the old 3e Main FAQ. It answers part of your question on pages 45-46. The usual things that apply to melee attack rolls also apply to opposed attack rolls, including modifiers, natural 1/auto-fail and natural 20/auto-success. This is supported in the main 3.5e FAQ in one place...

    Close Quarters Fighting and Reach

So maybe characters who have CQF should use a reach weapon to take advantage of this feat. If you're unarmed, you don't threaten any squares, so CQF doesn't help you. If you walk around with inadequate equipment, you give up your right to whine about getting grappled.

    Jumping and Falling Monsters

Yes, it does. The SRD is wrong. (Well, the "2" part of "2 slams" is in the wrong column.) MM, page 97, confirms two slams for 2d10+11/19-20x2. So this isn't a sole natural attack after all. No 1.5x Str bonus for you, Mr. E. Even with two slam attacks, he's much better off with that spiked...

    Close Quarters Fighting and Reach

It's not that the large grappler doesn't provoke an AoO. It's more that the smaller foe doesn't have sufficient reach to take advantage of it. So those medium-sized creatures need to wield reach weapons. Problem solved. (But then there are huge opponents, 15 ft. reach.) (And huge opponents...

    Jumping and Falling Monsters

The Elder Earth Elemental's slam attack is mis-computed in the SRD. With Str 33 (+11), its sole natural attack (Str bonus x 1.5) should inflict 2d10+16. With Power Attack (BAB +18), Earth Mastery and a critical hit (19-20/x2), the best it can do is much, much more than 2d10+11. Try 4d10+70...

    Multiple Disarms

And each Disarm attempt would normally provoke an AoO, but this is usually only important against a creature with the Combat Reflexes feat, since all others are limited to one AoO per round. In addition, remember that failing a Disarm check gives your opponent a chance to Disarm you, making...
