    D&D 3.x Why be a 3.5 fighter?

Nifft, WTF? By your own calculations, Fighter beats Wolf in AC, to-hit and damage, and is -1 in hp. And for melee-types everything else is really a far distant second, and you must know this. Are we there yet?

    Castle Ravenloft boardgame questions ...

Most of the scenarios have you: take a special tile and shuffle it into a very small pile, say with 3 others; put 8 randomly selected tiles on top of that small pile; then put all the remaining tiles under the small pile. This way, the tile you typically want to get to is somewhere between 9 and...

    Castle Ravenloft boardgame questions ...

You're right, that is silly. It is also not playing the scenario correctly -- read the part about constructing the dungeon tile deck a bit more carefully.

    Castle Ravenloft boardgame questions ...

That's how our group solved this problem as well. Seems like a reasonable thing to do since otherwise, as you said, you often start off by drawing and immediately discarding with no effect. Need some Help Picking a Game

How 'bout Diplomacy? Though it can take a looong time to play, it's pretty easy to write down where everything is and pack up until next time. The rules are very very easy to learn, and you spend the entire game negotiating with each other.

    Unconfirmed: More Layoffs at WotC

If they signed a contract, then there might be some surprise (shouldn't be if they are students of history) but they still get paid. Otherwise, they are just like the rest of us. I'm not saying it ain't a cryin' shame...

What are your ideal design goals for D&D?

Oh, hell: Girls (and presumably, boys) just wanna have fun.

    Unconfirmed: More Layoffs at WotC
