Me, being a new(b) player, prefer explicitly being told. At least, it just seemed terribly sloppy in an adventure I was in where the DM didn't really make it known what we were supposed to do. A different adventure I am in explicitly explains the skill challenges, and I like that much better.

I was planning on having Dossk use Charge to get up and whack the goblins this round. Would he be able to take the extra attack from Direct the Strike? Or did you want it to only be ranged? (Sorry for all the questions, :P)

I dig this idea! I'm not 100% sure how the current review process happens, but this new process would definitely make it a lot more fluid and not be such a pain on the judges.
